Set List Maker

Lots of the listed functions requires extra payment! There is no list of this here or on the developers web site - just warnings in the review. This is a rip off - avoid!

Works fantastic. I am using it fot text and scrolling text during songs. I am also sending midi to all bands midi equipment for patch changes. Keyboards, Guitar processor, TC Voice Live, Drum module, and digital mixer. The developer answers very quickly if you have questions or technical issues. Higly recomended !

I'm Sorry but the latest redesign is no good! I need to be able to se the whole text from top to bottom on my iPad... In this redesign I can't seem to be able to se more than a few lines. Will have to find a new app :-(

You have to pay extra for linking and sharing between devices.. most people take that for granted, so that's a big letdown and a feeling of being duped. To get all the doohickeys it's like an additional 19 dollars or 112 nok,

A real life saver: on a dark stage, at rehearsals and for keeping all your lyrics and chord related stuff. The MIDI functions are killer and let me control both my roland VG-99 and this app from the same floor board. Apps like this is what made me buy an iPad in the first place.

I almost never write reviews on apps. Had to with this one. What used to take hours, literally, now I do in fifteen minutes. Has a bunch if great features, works flawlessly, and is totally intuitive. You can make sets, encore sets too, move songs within sets, to get the right flow. Metadata like the key, and much more associated with the song. Each set (as long as you give the time for each song) will have a total time INCLUDING time between songs. I have a song list with all our songs and can start a new set or show and make sets, pick out songs. This is, no kidding, the best app I've picked up.

Har brukt denne ved flere spillejobber og øvinger no, fantastisk app! Raske skift mellom låtene på scenen, de som bruker iPod/iPod kan synche spillelistene, legge inn egne skjemaer og noter man trenger for spillejobben... Rett og slett Nydelig!

I have been very happy with the App. Support on the couple of times I have needed it has been swift and accurate. Does exactly what it is supposed to do and provides more than adequate functionality for my needs as a gigging musician with constantly changing and updating sets with multiple bands.

Response to developer: Just because you announce something six months in advance does not make it right. You have changed your original product and its functionality (as many have paid for) in order to force people to move to another product with a monthly subscription. It’s wrong. When Bandhelper reaches is it saturation what next? Update: What a scam! Create a great app, get everyone to buy it, and then make it worse so you are pushed to buy his other app with a monthly subscription fee. Guess it wasn’t working that well because now he takes away syncing which is what buyers have already paid for. The price of this app has also gone way up - I’m sure to force you to do the same. I will not buy BAND HELPER for this reason and encourage others to do the same. I will be filing a complaint with Apple. Feels like extortion to me. ————————- This used to be the greatest program - worthy of awards. I have recommended it to many musician friends and colleagues. With the latest major upgrade I now hate it and it seems to be the consensus with those that I have spoken with. The problem with the latest version is that too much time is spent on unnecessary configuration and formatting. That's what programmers are for. The whole look and operation is now uncomfortable. What used to be a no-brainer, simple to use program now requires a learning curve. Not that I can't figure it out, but I find myself spending way too much time trying to configure the software and it takes time away from what it's really all about - the music. I have been using the new version for weeks now and I still get frustrated at every gig. The fact that you need to watch videos to learn it and are instructed to do so speaks volumes. We all finally decided at our last gig to ditch it. What a shame. I will probably still archive my lyrics and music library here but can no longer recommended it for the performing musician. Back to printed set lists for a while. There is a lot here but much is really unnecessary for most performing musicians. Ideally, I would like to see the old version come back and then offer this version for those who have the need, desire and patience to spend the time it takes. I have a lot of respect for Arlo Leach and his programming abilities but this version is more about the programming than the music. As the old saying goes "if it ain't broke don't fix it." I need a Set List Maker!

I’ve been using Set List Maker on my gigs for over 10 years almost on a daily basis. The app is essential to my work as a professional musician. Unlike some apps SLM has never been abandoned by its creator. It’s constantly being developed, new features added, regularly updated. Any problems or suggestions bring immediate attention and fast solution by Arlo and his team. Plenty of helpful information in the tutorials and forum.
