Set & Rep Counter Workout Log Reviews

Perfect & Simple

JaeTsunami on

I don’t mean simple as an insult. This is all I’ve been looking for. A simple, clean looking app, to keep track of my progress. There’s nothing extra to this app. I LOVE that you can easily create exercises/workouts, when it’s not available through their list, without having to go through hoops. I have Strong, FitBod, MyFitnessPal, Peleton, and Apple Fitness on my phone and I will 100% be using this app over those. I just enjoy the simplicity of this app. I immediately purchased the Pro after using it for a day.

Too controlling

You can’t build a template and not specify the number Reps in advance for one example. There’s no flexibility in this app whatsoever Don’t Buy It Must enter a weight even if doesn’t apply like pull ups

very good app, one important feature behind paywall

actually very good and offers wide set of features and very simple yet effective ui. but it only allows for one free planned workout(ex legs or push or pull) if you are willing to dish out the actually reasonably priced subscription i do recommend it but i’m not doing allat. in all it’s a great app and i mostly recommend

love this app

this app is great for a get in and get out gym session whilst knowing you hit everything you wanted to. huge time saver and allows me to track my progress which also increases my motivation to improve. with that being said there are a few improvements i’d like added such as… - the ability to add notes and images to certain workouts. some exercises need a bit more of explaining or directions just in case i forget or if it’s a new exercise i’m trying out. would be much more convenient if i could add the notes in the app itself instead of digging through my notes app or gallery cause then things can get confusing and take more energy than needed. i would add it to the title but it doesn’t look good to have sentences long for what should be the exercises name. - timed exercises. would be more convenient if there was an option to start a timer for a specific exercise. would make things easier for me and go faster and smoother in the gym. - the ability to change the order of the workouts after adding them to a template. it is a bit frustrating when you realize you want add an exercise before another. you would have to either create a completely new template, waste your time and track records for that workout or it just won’t be in the order you need them to be and that can be disappointing.

Tiny Suggestions

It would be appealing to have the title of the app to say “Set & Rep Log” for minimalistic reasons. Also the letters are not currently spaced out. It would also be really helpful that was the timer is up it can make a sound like a bell or something. Thanks

surprised there aren’t more reviews…

let’s get straight to the point - this app is super easy to use. plan out your workouts with the template builder and plug in whatever exercises you plan to do. I love that I can just add my own exercise if I can’t find it on the list they have. some apps don’t allow you to do this and you are forced to choose from their pre programmed list. I hate that! workouts are very easy to track. I love the feature of being able to plan out my workouts by scheduling days and color coding my workouts. overall I have to give this 5 stars and it’s worth the $23.99 for the year.

Being honest

It might be because I didn’t check the previews or read the description but I feel these are needlessly complicated when I can just write it down and tap a counter every time I finish a set. Like if you’re looking for a digital “notebook” sure 5 stars. But if you’re simple like me it’s unnecessary especially the fact that they have paid services(actually cheap) that don’t interest me at all and provide what should have been the basic service of the app. Tbh the sub should have just been for; supporting the dev, no ads, and stats and charts but you can literally go on google docs and type out a template or whatever for your exercise routine. You can literally track your work outs any other kind of way so it’s just a tad bit ridiculous. However I understand this app took a lot of time to make so I’d be willing to support the devs but for me it feels like I’d just be donating because I could use anything else to do the same thing without any restrictions and for free. Docs, excel, notepad, sticky notes, reminders, etc.
