No, that’s wrong!

To the people stating this is a Danganronpa rip off… No. This game is heavily inspired, yes, by Danganronpa, however! This game has the unique mechanic of the camera, which is original to it, and it has its own storyline, which I can possibly see being advanced on and continued if this game ever got a continuation. This game is inspired by, heavily, but it still has its own unique flair, simple yet elegant artstyle, and intriguing storyline.

I’ve played this game about three times, and I really like it! It’s very short and doesn’t have much replayability to most, but it’s an alright game. For it being free, it’s a fun 15-25 mins of gameplay. I really hope the developer can work on another of these games!! Or update this one!! Obviously this is inspired by Danganronpa, so if you like that I’d recommend trying this out for a bit of fun. Overall I like this!!

Really good!

Ok so I only downloaded this today and haven't finished since my sanity meter went down quickly since I played on the highest difficulty but I have to say, this game was very interesting! I will write another review once I actually get further into it but for now, I have some things I would like to say. So first off, this game is inspired by Danganronpa, Ace Attorney and Layton Brothers (as the creator has said, which by the way, you have great taste.) There's a lot of reviews mentioning this and calling it a ripoff which I don't really agree with. It's true (and quite obvious) that this game shares a lot of mechanics with Danganronpa, but the creator is aware of this and has said that that was what they were going for. On the chibixi.itch.io page for this game it says (and I quote) "Hi guys! Welcome to Seven Photos: The Photographic Detective! This game is inspired by Dangan Ronpa, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney, and Layton Brothers! (Three of my favorite murder mystery games!) " And "If you love Dangan Ronpa, you'll see that this mechanic pays homage to the classic 'You've got that wrong'! from that game :) Also, I threw in some references to Dangan Ronpa, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney, and Layton Brothers within the game if you want to find those!" It uses the "truth bullets" mechanic that Danganronpa uses, but the creator has acknowledged this and that it is from Danganronpa and that they were paying homage to it. I don't think it's fair to call a game that acknowledges that its taking inspiration from another, much larger, game a rip off. If they had said it was an original thing then that's a different story, but it's people comparing a massive, popular game that has a big development team to a smaller, mobile game that (by the looks of it) was made by one person who acknowledges that they were heavily inspired. Also, besides the truth bullet system, this game is quite original with the plot, the actual murder and of course the whole "seven photos" aspect which, honestly, is so interesting and fun. It's actually quite unique! And trust me, not to sound really full if myself but, I'm quite knowledgeable with this genre, a.k.a murder mysteries, so I know what I'm talking about. (I'm a huge fan of Ace Attorney, Danganronpa, Case Closed/Detective Conan etc. as well as more Indie ,and underrated, stuff like Detective Max Mystery and it's sequel, Max Mystery 2) And above all else, it's a fun game! At the end if the day, who cares if it is inspired by Danganronp

idk

It's honestly a really good game, it's like a version of danganronpa I love it, but it's a tiny bit confusing aha.

I’m in love with danganronpa and this reminded me of it a little bit. But the dialogue and story line are so well put together. But I feel it needs a bit more to make it a 5 star They take infamous quotes from danganronpa though- And also she literally says break like Makoto Naegi (from danganronpa) Objection That’s Wrong Talks about despair Truth bullets All these things are in danganronpa AND ALSO WHEN THE MURDER IS FOUND THERE IS A BLUE SCREEN AT BACK WITH THE MURDER REVEALED AND THE PROTAGONIST POINTING AT THEM JUST LIKE DANGANRONPA 😭
