Ships Of Glory Reviews

Fun to play but needs some new things

It’s very enjoyable but needs more maps and different game modes. Other than that it’s great to kill time if you have days where you have nothing to do.

Needs adjusting

This game is a great concept of a simpler naval warfare game but there a few things needed to really make it a special game. 1) the money, I’ve had this game since 2021 and have only been able to unlock 2 ships, the only way to get a good ship is to pay for coins or play for about 8 years at this rate. So it essentially is a pay to win game. For example the ‘best’ tier 3 ship costs 150,000 (and the most expensive ship costs 1,000,000) and you earn about 3,000 per game if you play the entire game and are in a semi-competitive ship, the games can be up to 25 minutes, so that’s about 50, 25 min games roughly, so 1,250 minutes or roughly 20 hours of playing (hopefully my maths is right) For a game with only 1 map and only 1 game mode that’s a long time. 2) the ship tiers, the two playing modes for tiers 1-3 and tiers 1-6 sounds like a good method on paper, but in reality the tier 3 ships are simply too strong to actually play against in a tier 1 or 2. For example you can end up with a ship with 3 88mm guns facing a ship with 4 254mm guns, 2 torpedoes and a mine layer. You can see how its a one sided fight. So to fix these issues I would suggest either increasing the coins earned per fight or (ideally) decreasing the cost of the ships. I would also adjust the ship tiers to maybe make the 1st row of ships tier 1-2, 2nd row 3-4 and third row 5-6 and make it so there are 3 game options, one for each row. I hope that all made sense and I really hope some of this advice gets taken on board because this is a really cool game and some of the ships in it look amazing but its a shame you don’t get to actually play as them.

Pretty solid game, could do with some further improvements

So as the title suggests, we have a good game here. A pleasant art style, simple but effective controls, easy to pick up and play, etc. It’s an all round well made game. Where I think it could do with improvements is down to balancing certain aspects of the game. The Dreadnaught class ships feels a little too weak compared to certain, relatively cheap ships. Having 8 heavy cannons is fun, but when they are all you have to play with, it’s no wonder why people tend to pick the Submarine class. Speaking of subs, the Torpedos are too easy to spam, they do massive damage on a fairly short cooldown with way too much range. Ideally they should have a nerf to how far and how fast they can be fired. One thing I’d like to see is some form of ship customisation, either in the form of perks/attachments, or with cosmetic changes. Once you’ve seen and fought one ship, it’s the same for them all at the moment. And finally, there needs to be a fix to the lobby connections and what will kick you out. A low battery warning or accidentally swiping into the app selection screen will kick you out which really gets frustrating, especially as when I reconnect, I tend to be put on the enemy team which is more often than not losing. So these are a few pieces of feedback from me, there are other things but these are the main points I wanted to get across, Regardless, a solid game that I’d recommend picking up.

This is a great game and excellent for casual gamers like me although there are is one things that I think would make this game better. To have a single player campaign but you make your own ship but to have different sizes hulls and the hulls cost in game currency and the funnels, bridge, secondary bridge guns and so on are less but still make it so you have to work for them. Once you have completed the campaign you could maybe have custom battles? It is up to you what you add into this game because, after all this is just a suggestion. Thanks

Very fun game

This game is very smooth and fun, it is very satisfying when you sink a ship. There is a lot of ships to earn as well. Definitely one of the best ship games on the App Store!!
