The delivery times are not long enough for my metro. Today I saw 2 orders with the same delivery window and the same delivery distance from the store. One order had 11 items. The other order had 69 items. Both only gave 1 hour shop time and delivery time. That will work for the order of 11 items but it absolutely will not work for the order with 69 items. This is a highly tourist area. A lot of the luxury resorts are 30 mins from any store, not to mention traffic being backed up due to tourist AND construction. Shipt doesn’t listen. I used to love working for them and felt so motivated getting up and busting my butt all day long. I happily worked 12 hours. Now, it’s just not worth it anymore. They keep lowering the pay, lowering the promos, lowering the time we have to shop for orders. I used to feel valued by Shipt but I no longer do. It wouldn’t take much at all to keep shoppers happy and loyal but they just keep taking all the joy away from the job.
Spend time communicating with customer and exchanging photos to make sure she got the items she wanted, since most of her items were out of stock. One of the items she did not want replaced, yet she had rated me one star for not getting that item despite her requesting so. They do not have a system like other driver apps that allow you to rate the customer back, nor do they have any way to remove and dispute the matter. Not to mention by they time you are done driving, and you divide all the hours up and the mileage you drive, the pay is not worth it.
Wow, yikes. After driving with companies like Uber, Doordash and instacart, I can easily say Shipt has the worst interface and the worst costumer service by far. They’ll deactivate your account with no notice (I’ve only ever received 5 stars on every order) and customer service reps refuse to give information. They say all important matters need to be dealt with over email. Actually laughable service, never experienced something like this. Got hung up on twice and told there’s no one higher up in the company than customer service reps who have no access to account information.
I found out today from my best tipper that the max she can tip in app is $25… that’s less than a 10% tip from someone who historically starts her tip at 20%. It’s garbage. The number of non tipping customers means I count on the people who tip well and now they cannot even tip what they want… and yeah, my customer told me about this, not shipt. Now add to that the fact that Shipt is letting the customers track us item-by-item. I have 100% positive feedback, I don’t need that. I took gig work because of the autonomy and they’ve ruined that too. Base pay often isn’t enough to cover the gas to and from the person’s house from the store, so you have to wait for things to go promo, and promo pay has gone WAY down, so the customer has to wait an eternity for a shopper. It’s bonkers. I firmly believe they’ve ruined this app intentionally, which is a waste, since it used to be better for both the shopper and customer. My best customer had two shoppers not deliver her order recently, and I’m not surprised, because no shopper who is good at their job is gonna take a huge order with a tip capped at under 10%. Shame on Shipt and shame on Target. Update: they just made it so you can’t take orders if you’re not near the store… only it’s wildly broken. Wouldn’t let me take orders from a store less than ten minutes away even though it was a small order almost two hours out… it did let me take an order that was twice the distance from where I was. I’m certain they’re trying to push out decent drivers..,, I’ll never understand it. I had an order I closed out late, too. I remember closing it when I delivered the order. Apparently I didn’t swipe far enough. So I message them… clearly stating…. It wasn’t late…. You can see delivery photos… you can see messages with the customer…. They don’t feel like looking at one delivery photo, so they say late forgiveness is denied and they tell me to “deliver my orders on time and plan better”…. They’re morons. Lazy, lazy morons. I started in 2017, and deleted the app tonight. It’s just garbage now.
I have to say this is the worst gig job that I ever signed up for my life if you factor in all of the wear and tear and mileage and and everything that happens to your vehicle, dealing with unruly customer service agents who can't properly help you! It's not worth it for $1.86 a package. That's lower than minimum wage.... I signed up for the app to try and make some extra money. Apparently this isn't it. They failed to activate my instant pay even though I waited for the direct deposit to hit my account like I was supposed to still don't have the feature Customer Service has been giving me the runaround and emailing shipped. You will never get a response
You only allow me to see orders no one else wants.. my last 3 orders had no tip on it and of course the way you guys set things up we have no idea til later in the day that we were ripped off
Just be prepared to only work a little because they’ll deactivate you for no reason and won’t tell you why should be a crime or a law suit
Me encanta pero los que organizan la carga tienen que poner más atención, porque por ejemplo hoy después que termine mi ruta, tuve que regresarme otra vez al centro de carga a devolver 7 paquetes que no eran de mi ruta, y no es primera vez que me pasa y eso nos cuesta tiempo millas a nuestros vehículos!
Don’t even waste your time! If you do make sure to have a backup plan because these people will look to deactivate you for something you didn’t do and something that wasn’t in your control. I did Shipt full time and was recognized by MANY customers for being one of the best shoppers for them. Shipt can easily see those wonderful messages and reviews on my account but they don’t care. So one day I get an email saying my account was deactivated for NO REASON! Highly do NOT recommend!
