Disappointing Experience with Showaround Admin's Lack of Responsibility
My recent experience with Showaround has left me incredibly disappointed and frustrated. I encountered a user on the platform who not only harassed and insulted me but also continued to contact me despite my attempts to block them. To make matters worse, the Showaround admin did not take any responsibility for handling the situation appropriately. As a user, I expected the platform to provide a safe and respectful environment for travelers and locals to connect. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Even after blocking the offending user, I was still subjected to their unwanted messages. It became clear that the platform lacks the necessary tools and measures to prevent such harassment. When I reached out to the Showaround admin seeking assistance, I was shocked by their response. Instead of addressing the issue and taking appropriate action against the user, the admin threatened to block both of us if I continued to report the abusive behavior. This response was completely inappropriate, as it seemed to punish the victim rather than protect them from harassment. It is deeply concerning to see a platform and its management fail to take a stand against harassment and disrespect. As a user, I should feel supported and protected when using the service, but instead, I felt let down and frustrated. Showaround needs to prioritize the safety and well-being of its users by implementing stronger measures to address harassment and improve the blocking functionality. I would strongly caution anyone considering using Showaround to be aware of the platform's limitations and the lack of responsibility shown by its admin. It is disappointing to witness such a disregard for user safety and well-being, and I sincerely hope that the management takes immediate action to rectify these issues.
