Sidekick - Dashcam, GPS, Alert

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes it crashes and has to be deleted and reinstalled, losing all data. Sometimes you can see what the camera sees, sometimes you see just the route map. Sometimes it records and sometimes it doesn’t. All of these problems seem to be related to nothing at all. Every time you start it up it picks a different path to inconsistency.

The app appears to be recording as the red light is on and I can see my trip in the my trips section yet it says that no video is available. What use is this dashcam app if it doesn’t record and/or you cannot view the recording?

But the app keeps crashing or wont load at all.

Looks like a very promising app, one of a kind on the App Store. However I am having trouble seeing text on the screen especially when searching for locations as it seems to be the same colour as the background. Let me know if you want to reach out and get screenshots/logs!

As of last update Sept1/18 it still crashes when opening on iPhone X

I thought it worked well at first, but your update yesterday killed it. Won't run anymore.

After reading the news story in the Edmonton Journal I had high hopes for this. I liked the idea of combining video with directions. But the app would start giving directions and then just stop. It wasn't reliable. Very frustrating. Also, as someone else wrote, it's a huge battery drain, so can only be used if it's actively plugged in. Again, repeating someone else's comments, sounds like too much money spent on marketing and not enough on the actual product.

Can't even set it up. It freezes

App is trying to replace Waze, but is so immature it'll be a long time coming. Don't bother with this - even the photo radar alerts for Edmonton are a waste... And that's all forgetting about the fact that this thing chews through your battery very quickly!
