I know it’s not your fault, but I was really expecting a game, or at the very least something I can play, this just doesn’t work for me

The game is garbage, but it didn’t go from 1.9 to 3.9 stars without you erasing bad reviews. It’s still a pile of doodoo.

Okay

I thought this would be where you got to play but I’m pretty sure it’s just shows and stuff like that. A bit dissapointed but that’s okay

Was really excited to try this out being a die hard silent hill fan but I was very disappointed. Everything feels cheap, and the story is not good at all. This was a huge let down and many others agree. I love silent hill and their best was when they made the silent hill 1-4 games in the ps1-ps2 era. My advice is to either scrap this, or give us the level of horror and everything that was present in silent hill 4. We as fans just want really good games like silent hill 1-4. I would love another game or another piece of media to be like silent hill 4, that was my favorite. The level of horror/ sounds/ visuals were terrifying in it, so please re write the story to be like these old games I mentioned.

Viewer since Day 1, 1 star well earned

As of March 5th 2024 they’ve added adverts to the app as well. Honestly straw that breaks the camels of back for me. How dumb.

Not perfect, but a fun experiment

I enjoy making this experience a part of my daily routine. As much as people scream about it being a greedy mtx thing, it’s actually one of the least greediest f2p apps on the platform. No ads, no constant popups to buy things. You really can participate and watch completely for free. I never feel like the micro transactions get in the way or pressure me into spending money, and it feels much more like a way to give back to the development if you choose to. I think the story has gotten better as its progressed, and the devs have done a good job listening to feedback and quickly addressing technical issues. I’ve personally reached out to support, gotten quick responses, and noticed a lot of my issues getting resolved quickly. That’s a pretty rare feat in this industry, and I applaud their efforts. The mini games/puzzles are fine. Nothing that will make you want to open the app and play necessarily, but it can be a fun way to kill time without being blasted with ads like the majority of other mobile games do. I like that the Mindfulness puzzles tie into character “Hope” levels, as that does give some sense of urgency to check in and complete those activities. It’s another way to contribute without spending the in-game IP currency. Ascension is weird and often silly at times. Monster designs are great, the soundtrack is great, and I think it does often nail that “rough around the edges” feel of SH. It isn’t perfect by any means, but it’s an interesting experiment, and I can’t really fault the devs or Konami for trying something completely off the beaten path. It’s widely accessible on mobile or anything with a web browser to gamers and non-gamers alike, and it’s kind of just a fun ARG/side story type thing to participate in while we’re waiting for the actual games. It makes sense from a marketing perspective, and I think a lot of people unfairly discredit it based off of an echo chamber of criticism.
