After plowing through numerous Pomodoro timer apps for a study/focus app that could integrate nicely with my Apple Watch, I have finally found The One. Really sleek and intuitive design. Also great haptics for the Watch - it gives a small vibration and ping at the end of each focus/rest period. For some reason, none of the other apps seem to do this!? Overall, insanely good value, I can’t fault this app. Thank you so much!! ☺️
This app on the Apple Watch doesn’t let you know when the focus time is up and it jumps out when the watch screen goes off. Tends to also log when you haven’t auctioned sometimes. Great idea poorly executed the screens are ok but again the vibration and alarm for a finished focus session don’t seem to work on the watch. The timer analogue display is good but should have the Digital under neath as well. iPhone seems to work ok. With a few little tweaks it would be a great little app. Maybe play some of your favorite music which a person could select when its time for a break.
This is the kind of focus timer I’ve been looking for, I really like the complication and the nudge when the timer is up. It’s simple, clean, and unobtrusive. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that I think the cycles feature is really confusing. I couldn’t find any explanation for why the cycles exists, and only really got it after trial and error. Basically, the cycles just repeats the work + break cycle that number of times. Seems obvious, but here’s the catch: it doesn’t seem to log work time unless you complete *all* the cycles. So if you choose 4x, but only do two cycles, that work won’t be recorded. Secondly, if you choose the 1x cycle, it seems to skip the break altogether and just exit. If I could suggest an improvement, I think the cycles feature could be removed altogether, and instead at the end of a work/break timer it could give you a few options: Start break, start work, dismiss. Then, it just repeats as many times as the user doesn’t press dismiss.
The latest app update calls us beta testers?! That would have been nice to know before *paying to purchase*. Little functionality on phone, needs a watch to be useful.
A great time boxing app, clean design, and easy to use. Bought it when it first came out and used it with my daily practice routine to get me through my last year at uni. Ended up being a big help! Will recommend to more people who like to use pomodoro timers. Thanks to the developer!
So far, I really like this app. The look and functionality is great. But I find that I’m not getting notifications at the end of sessions. Often, I’ll go to check how much time is left in a session only to find that it ended a while ago and I wasn’t notified. :(
- the way the subscription is present is a turn off. Find a way that is less frustrating to new users. I spent 5 minutes trying to figure out the features only to realize they can’t be interacted with at all. I thought the app was broken. - add a numerical timer. I like the aesthetic, but I also like to know the exact time left. - sync the Apple Watch and iPhone app. I set a timer on one, the timer should be going on the other. That’s the deal breaker for me, personally. Giving five stars because previous reviews are unfair and this app is one of the better pomodoro apps I’ve tried, just dragged down by its subscription presentation and the lack of a numerical display. It’s been more than a year so an update is unlikely, but I hope you consider the above if you do update it.
Free version is great and met all my Pomodoro needs!
No complications without a subscription. No sync between watch and phone. One star. I don’t like “creative” descriptions that avoid the truth.
