Silverstone Tickets

A great lesson in how to make something way harder than it needs to be, and why does Silverstone want so much of my personal data just to issue a simple ticket for a basic club event? For the record, I put fake data in 🤷‍♂️

A pdf to print tickets off was a perfectly acceptable way of dealing with this. You have added an annoying, complicated and pointless system. Very frustrating

Wants to collect every detail about you phone, age, date of birth, address access Bluetooth devices track the location. No way you’re getting that info. Hateful info grabbing exercise

Like many people I did not appreciate this annoying layer of complexity since it seemed unnecessary and I was not warned before purchasing that the tickets would be on an app. I don’t get many scam calls/texts usually yet the day I put my number on this app I immediately got a couple of phone calls and 4 text messages with “dad I broke my phone”! This is disgusting that they force a phone number to be given and it goes straight to scammers🤬

Not a great way to introduce silverstone as an organised welcoming venue. Over complicated and data capture unnecessary part of a difficult process for obtaining tickets.

This App is completely unnecessary and creates complexity where there wasnt any. What a pain to buy tickets for anybody like family and friends. We are now spend loads of time trying get tickets to the right people who dont technology. Puts me off dealing with anything on at Silverstone. Will delete the App when ive got yhe tickets ive paid for.

Why can’t we just have emailed PDFs??

Not sure what all the negative reviews are about. Worked great for me. Transferred tickets to friends easily. Couldn’t fault the app. Better than most other venues!

After realising this app was needed to access my ticket, I unlwillingly installed it and to my surprise i needs to provide all my personal information and add an account and not just continue as a guest. As I will filling my data, the app didn’t register that i had ticked the bottom option and then wiped all my data making me have to start again. Examples of this kind of things are stupid and should not be allowed. QR code from email should be inforced as a standard and not to just through several hoops just to access the ticket you’ve already paid for.
