Description
BBE is nothing but a translation of the Bible into basic English. It was translated by Professor S.H. Hooke using 850 basic English words. The New Testament was published in 1941, and the Old Testament was published in 1949.
The primary goal of the BBE was to make the Bible more accessible to non-native English speakers and those with limited English proficiency.
Reading the Bible also helps in teaching basic Bible lessons on ethics, theology, and historical context.
