Description

Just your heart rate on your Apple watch in the largest text that will fit! When you are running or cycling and you want to see your heart rate, tiny text just will not do. That's why we built Simple Heart Rate to provide easy-to-read access to your current heart rate by integrating with Apple HealthKit. You can also use the iPhone app to create multiple heart rate target zones to enhance your training experience. So close

This is so close to what I needed and wanted from an app! The fact that I can set zones and choose a target zone and get audio feedback is fantastic, hands down what I was looking for. I had to deduct two stars, though: Primarly for needing to “write a workout” but not actually recording any workout data. This means I can’t use Strava or the workouts out concurrently which makes the app essentially useless if I want to actually track anything. If it can write data, I’d love for the app to be able to tell me total time in a given range. The American Heart Association recommends 150 minutes of moderate intensity (~50-70% of your max heart rate) exercise per week. How do I know I’m getting enough? An average HR is great, but it’s ultimately not what I want.

Like to purchase rather than sign up

Just purchased the app and wanted to say that I like purchasing an app outright like this one rather than signing up or having a subscription that you need to pay for forever to use. Helps with my 74 year old eyes. Now if there was only a way to toun that darn sound off! Thanks for charging the $.99. Thanking for charging? That’s weird!

Don’t waste your money or refund allowance

This looks like some college project that was incomplete. This app does not work whatsoever.

Excellent for seniors

All I wanted is a simple HR monitor app and am glad I’ve found it. No whistles and unwanted features. Start the app and that’s it. Numbers are large enough for a blind bat like me to read without my fourth eyes. .... KISS = Keep It “Simples” .... 👍👍👍

Spinning class usage

Easy to setup with zones and look clear on my watch, I will post an update after a little usage. I like the simple approach blue under zone, green in zone and red above zone as per setup in your phone .

Color zone don’t work

The font is large, but the zones don't work. The number doesn't change color to signify the different zone I set, which I why I purchased the app.

Just like it says

Simple. Not a lot of bells and whistles here. Just displays your heart rate at a size big enough for my old eyes to see.
