SIMS Parent Reviews

The worst app I’ve ever used

It’s impossible to log in. Stuck in an endless loop. The developers of this app should be given the birch.

SIMS Parent App

As a parent of a high school child I find this app completely bizarre. Why our school has adopted this app as a behaviour management tool is beyond me. It would be better deployed in prisons to log every time a contraband is found on a prisoner. It holds children to a bar no adult would achieve. My son is displaying signs of OCD and I am not surprised due to the discipline and rigidity of the school rules, in no small way aided by this app. Please wake up schools. This tech is blighting mental health of young people.

Awful that the developers are not interested!

Both parents and schools are ripping their hair out and the developers are not listening. I have had my account unlocked by my Son’s school only to be immediately locked out again due to the two step authentication they now demand…. Be great if the codes link to your app… but they don’t and you’re locked out again with no way to get back in until the school unlocks you….again This is beyond user friendly and wish our school would stop using it….. truly awful beyond words

The worse school app of them all.

Absolutely horrific use experience. Also if you forget your password the reset button doesn’t allow you to reset so you have to contact the school administrator. It’s been like that for 4 years now!!!

If Ofsted did apps….

I’m starting to think schools are paid to use this god awful app. There is no other explanation for it. I cannot otherwise understand why any school would willingly use this despite the overwhelming number of negative reviews on here and feedback from parents and students. It’s truly appalling.

Do things get tested properly before release?

Little-chap on

United Kingdom

This app still seems like it’s in development stage. So buggy. For example, on the app (which is what most parents will use), it’s virtually impossible to reply to a teacher message on the iPhone (yes I’m running latest IOS) because as soon as you press reply and go to type, the screen gets completely covered over with a black box so you can’t see what you are typing’ Come on, this is simple stuff which really should be tested before being released. It severely impairs the functionality of the app and kind of defeats the point of using it (better communication with the school and teachers?)

terrible

never lets me log in to see things like my child's timetable or behaviour points! when i try to reset the password it just says incorrect. infuriating and no sources that can help you when you have this issue!!

Schools should stop using SIMS

TroutMaskR on

God knows why schools still use this idiotic app. It's a complete wind up, whoever owns it should be ashamed. It's not even worth zero star, we're talking about negative numbers by now.

Not good

hagger111 on

Always having log in problems constantly logging me out saying doesn’t recognise password. Very frustrating.

Utter garbage

App is absolutely hopeless. It doesn’t recognised saved password, try and reset password using the link and then it won’t let you log in with the new password as it doesn’t defo use that either!
