Yea this app has a good concept but falls short completely. Build a bar is broken most of the time it will not let me “add to bar”. It just clicks and nothing. :-/ then the worst part of all is you can’t add bottles that aren’t in the database. I collect bourbons that are new releases and/or new batches and I cannot even find them in the list. This is upsetting as there should be a way to add new bottles by the upc. So that the database could be more up to date. I have 30 bottles I tired to add but nothing was found. I had hopes for this app but now I’ll just use total wine. lol.
Great app for any bourbon connoisseur!! Great recommendations from others in the community! Thank you!
I’ve been looking forward to having an app to track my inventory as well as to help make the right selection to add to it. Unfortunately there seem to be too many bugs in it. So now all I have is an app that won’t let me set up my bar and probably a boatload of unwanted emails since I had to log in using my email and verify it to start my bar. Guess it’s back to the drawing board to find a workable inventory app.
Sorry to give 1 star…but is likely the worst app I’ve ever used. Locks up constantly, cumbersome to use and poorly designed.
This app has potential. I like being able to build a collection in the app to show off what I have but there are a few shortcomings. 1. I don’t see a way to list multiple bottles of the same thing. The app gives you and estimated value of your collection but it’s worthless if you cant list more than one bottle of the same thing. I have more than one of Smoke Wagon UCUF but the app only tracks that I have one. 2. I can’t add bottles to my “bar” in the app by scanning the bar code. I keep getting an error message that “the shelf doesn’t exist”. So I have search manually. 3. When you search manually the app updates after EVERY SINGLE LETTER YOU TYPE. When it does this the keyboard disappears while it updating then reappears. It’s extremely annoying. This is as far as I got exploring the app and I have decided to delete it. Maybe when it’s improved I will try it again. As I said it has potential to be a good app but the developers didn’t properly test it before launch.
This probably is a great app, but when it has to search AFTER EVERY LETTER TYPED, it gets very annoying to use. If you have a Search button, DO NOT search when I am typing the letters out!
I like the interface, love how it looks, and I think this could be an excellent app. But right now (Dec 2022 on 14 Pro Max with iOS 16.1) there is a fatal search flaw. It lets you enter four characters in the search window, then the keyboard scrolls down while the app searches, preventing you for entering new characters. Then when the keyboard returns, after each additional character typed the keyboard vanishes again and again. Since so many brands have multiple varieties, it makes using the search worthless. It’s probably a simple fix and I would love to update this review when it is.
App looks interesting but locks up every time when searching - usually will not even allow to fully enter name to search for. Defeats purpose and reason for using this.
I’m retired and have a hard time using the apps of this world. This one however is different, it’s well laid out and easy to use. Whoever came up with this idea has to be a bourbon lover. I know they are. From one bourbon lover to another, salud. This is one of my favorite quotes: You can handle anything that comes at you in life if you have 3 things: A believable grin, common sense and a good bourbon! Keep SIPN (sipping)!
