I find myself spending majority of my free time playing this game and I don't know wether I like it or not. It is immensely fun, challenging, sad, funny and frustrating. It will take you for a ride on an emotional roller coaster and leave you unable to put down your phone for hours
Nothing near as good as the earlier iterations. Even on the easiest setting you spend every round trying to feed your people. It has gotten so boring that I won’t finish it. I spent probably 100 rounds figuring out Six Ages 1 and loved it. I’ve already done about 100 attempts at this one and every possible combination but no matter which course you take your people starve. Don’t recommend.
Epic story of hope and fortitude in the face of impeding doom. Follows the classic King of Dragon Pass in terms of gameplay - a mix of strategy, role-playing, and roguelike. Allows imports of saves from Six Ages 1, in case you want to continue from there. High replay value. Perfect for iOS. Overall highly recommended.
I’m a huge fan of King of Dragon Pass, the first edition of this series. It has an immersive world and many pathways to take. The Six Ages are a nice revisit to this world. Their story arc is much tighter and they are not as replayable. However if you love the first one, you will enjoy these two as well. Play King of Dragon Pass first.
This game, the first six ages, and king of dragon pass, are all made by the same group and are some of the best and most unique games I’ve played on any platform. There is no other iPhone game that comes close to the depth these have to offer!
I just spent a weekend playing till the end. I was entertained, intrigued and even moved at points. This is the Glorantha setting at its best and a fine sequel to the original King of Dragon Pass. May there be many more!
The world is ending, as we’re told in the opening of the game, and there’s nothing we can do to stop it. All there is left to do is to ride out the apocalyptic wave of disasters with a defiant resilience as gods above are killed by the forces intent on the destruction of all things. While the world might be coming to an end there are still mouths to feed, a clan to protect, and a tribe to restore so as to muster all the strength you can against the forces of chaos. This game is punishing and difficult, and the reward is a flicker of hope. Not for the dying world but rather the one that comes next as your heroism helps to usher forth the dawn of a new age. Guard the stead.
Life, Death, Hope, Despair. Cows. This game has it all!
But in a fantastic land of OZ awesome mommy loves you good way. It is good. Lovingly curated contents and authentic interaction in a somewhat strange format, like an interactive novel but with a lot of freedoms that makes sense and often times lead you to crazy twists and turns. You really need to spend a little bit of time to love it, but boy does it deserve your love. Like I said, such a niche experience. Also, lots of roleplaying if you are into this stuff
