this is a great app. really got me to do more CBR which I need to do. one suggestion would be some notifications to remind us to do our daily reading. Overall great app.
Similar to what others have said, app update now launches your web browser to show the reading plan (the only thing I use the app for) instead of showing it in the app (previous app version). The app is very plain and they just changed the main function to put in an extra step for the user. Not as useful. The concept of community Bible reading- reading 1-2 chapter of OT and 1-2 chapter of NT Monday through Friday, Psalm on Saturday, no reading on Sunday- is wonderful when done solo or in the context of a larger church. The key to this is knowing the daily reading. The rudimentary app (that now just launches a web browser and doesn’t even need to be an app) really hampers the effectiveness and adds friction to this Bible reading plan. Disappointing. Please improve and add more content!
I much prefer the app before the update. I used the app just for the daily chapters and verses on my phone. I did the actual reading on a larger screen (old eyes) The new version makes that more difficult. Please put the option back that allows to see just the scripture list.
All of sudden, I can’t read the plan through the app. It now opens a webpage when I tap on the 2 chapter CBR. I used to like this app, but now I don’t see the point of it. To the developers, what did you do? And why are there no notes in the App Store version history about making this type of change? Might as well delete the app at this point and just use my web browser.
The app itself is super low on the feature scale and bears little resemblance to the physical journal. Also, upon the last update the Bible is not built into the app but instead takes you to the website and there isn’t a way to see previous days through the app. The concept is great, but the app execution is not...
The updated version is a step back. Can’t get the 2 chapter a day version to only include the 2 chapters. It still shows 4.
App takes a long time to load and gets stuck on the loading screen. I’ve been stuck for months on the reading plan screen. I usually have to close the app and reopen it to load the next days reading. Great content overall but the app is pretty buggy.
I initially downloaded to look into the CBR Journal. The app started looking for updates and never stops.
Thank you, for the app! It is a tremendous resource! The CBR Journal has helped me connect with the Lord I'm a deeper way!
