The Skeletal System Pro III - includes the most in depth 3D skeleton ever developed, the ability to rotate, cut and get superior/inferior views all with the simple stroke of the finger.

This app’s primary use is as a learning tool but can also be used as a fast and innovative reference tool by utilizing the index function which allows the user to select an item and the app will automatically zoom in and identify it.

Additionally, this app is ideal for physicians, educators or professionals, allowing them to visually show detailed areas of the skeletal system to their patients or students - helping to educate or explain conditions, ailments and injuries.

Best app

Radiography on

The app is excellent. The pins are too close to each other on my phone as my phone has a small screen. The quizzes are very good for revision.

Wicked app

As a sports science student this app is a must have!!!!! My anatomy tutor has forced us to download it! God bless her!!!!

Impressive learning resource

This app is a really hand tool for both learning and revision (through the quizzes provided). I really like the setup options that offer specific quiz question areas to be selected. I find the pins to sometimes be a little unclear—perhaps because my iPhone doesn't have a Retina display? It'd be nice if this could be improved somewhat.

Adorable <3

Outstanding product! (V3.0)

Edited 17th May 2012: updated to v3.0 and my rating has increased from 4 to 5 stars. I use this app to explain to patients how their bones have been affected by their injuries. Functionality and interface changes make this the goto app for skeletal information. Cannot recommend this app too highly. There is now no need to carry a heavy, expensive atlas of anatomy. The iPhone marches onwards as one of the most useful pieces of technology I have owned. Well done Nova! I liked this product. the illustrations are clear and the labelling and additional information is very helpful. I was less enamoured of the actual text used because I found the writing a little too small for my spectacle-assisted vision. I do hope that the developers can overcome the limitations inherent in packing so much information of this high quality, into the small screen area provided by the iPhone. Nevertheless, many people will find this application very well thought out and packed to capacity with valuable reference information. I contact the support line by e-mail (because of a simple error I had made after installing the software) and I received a rapid and very helpful response from the CEO of the company whereafter a useful dialogue ensued. It was a very impressive and accomplished performance and I have no hesitation in recommending this application very highly. Purchase with confidence.

Has potential

Zooo keeper on

As a medical student this app has been an absolute God send... However, 3 main problems, firstly it's been crashing far too often recently. Secondly, it would help if one was able to zoom in closer to see a higher resolution of the bone and where exactly the pin is. Finally if there were further options for the quiz, eg. locating a structure or naming it on a pinned region, that too would be great. Not a 5 because I have to use another flash card app alongside, and not a 4 because of the points highlighted. The crashing really begged a 2 especially as it was constant the night before my anatomy test! Still an absolute gem of an app

Beats reading!

I am Craig! on

I am a university student, and this is an amazing educational app for the anatomy of the human body and is very helpful. The only downside to it is the controls are difficult, also, the quiz is difficult to identify where exactly the pin is pointing to when it is surrounded by other bones, never-the-less... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The app provides details on bones and specific areas of the bones looking closely at each one, if however one isn't there for some reason, you can just add it yourself. Ignore under-rated reviews.

Too small

Trainer68 on

Maybe good for iPad but I got it for my iPhone and I need a magnifying glass to read the text so no use whatsoever! Wasted my money. It would get no stars from me but I have to put one to post my review.

Great for use during physiotherapy sessions (physical therapy)

Happy Jim6432843 on

I love this App! I am a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist in Private Practice in Hammersmith in London, England (Back In Shape). I use the app regularly on my iPhone and on my iPad to help me to explain to my clients which structure is at fault and how to go about fixing it. It often let's them see instantly, what I am already imagining is going on within them, from years of anatomy study. The ability to rotate the body part in 3D makes this program special. It's so much better than an anatomy textbook. Congratulations on a revolutionary app! Jimmy

Doesn't let me swipe

Cygnus1889 on

I had the previous version of this software and now wish I hadn't upgraded as I can't rotate by swiping, or do the cross sectional views. Other than that the app is very good.
