This app requires an internet connection, an existing Sketch subscription and works exclusively with documents in your Sketch Workspace. This app is not compatible with Mac-only licenses.

Disappointing
Recently switched over from Adobe XD because of their lack of focus on the software and am perplexed why this app doesn’t actually do what it says. Was really excited to use Sketch but not being able to mirror a design directly on the app via wifi or USB-C is such a missed opportunity. The fact that Adobe does this without forcing the cloud functionality shows how bad of a decision to not include this is.
Please allow us to mirror local documents in real time without relying on your cloud to make changes that sometimes take minutes. It would genuinely make a world of difference.
Mirror App was perfect, this is not.
Do not force us to sign in, use workspaces or any other dark UX patterns – that in reality exist to drive subscriptions. I need to very quickly view the active artboard on my mobile device. Not this bloatware - fix the mirror app so we can quickly design and view pages on mobile devices. You are losing to Figma and these hostile tactics are certainly not helping your cause.
Pointless
The star reviews here speak volumes. Does your team not do user research and actually find out what Sketch users want? I use Sketch because I like saving files locally that’s the whole point of sticking by you. I don’t need or want the cloud service, so why have you just severed ties with mirroring local documents completely? I’d rather the crappy old app if it lets me test designs locally. This update is thoughtless. Sorry.
Can’t sign in or out - zombie account
I downloaded the app and accidentally signed in with an old account. Tried to sign out. There is no sign out button! Deleted the app. Reinstalled. Still automatically signed in to the old account. So I deleted the account. Now the app is stuck. Deleting and reinstalling does nothing. Just keeps saying that you have to sign in but there is no sign in button, no sign out button, just an error message.
Good but need more work
Our organisation uses Sketch+Abstract for daily development. Just like GitHub, Abstract need to store Sketch file temporary in local. If I want to move my sketch file to cloud, it will relocate the temp file out of Abstract directory, which would broke the link. Therefore, I can’t use workspace and can’t use this app either. Shame, would love to use the overlay prototype
I’m sick of sketch pushing to use their cloud
Was so happy with the notification that mirror was updated as it was tedious at the best of times. Downloaded this new one immediately and it only works with workspace! Are you serious?!
I can’t use workspace all the time and have to locally save documents so this app is useless.
Hey sketch - I love the program but with the issues I’ve been having with syncing to Google drive and your less than attractive cloud options I’m on the verge of moving over to Figma.
