Skyflow is an incredibly handy and functional tool for photographers who aim for the best quality time-lapse shooting!
It has many options, such as choise of shooting resolution and format, motion blur and light trails effects, HDR, panning motion and more.
After shooting is complete you'll need to export your time-lapse as a video file or image sequence.
And the most amazing feature of Skyflow is that it allows you to change the playback speed of the final video even after the end of shooting!
Highlights:
• Shooting and exporting with a resolution of up to 4K
• RAW shooting and export (for iPhone 6S and above)
• Manual ISO, shutter speed, EV, WB and focus control
• Noise Reduction for cleaner shots
• Low-Light Boost for night shots
• Long Exposure effects: Light Trails & Motion Blur
• Exposure Bracketing for HDR export
• Horizon Stabilizer for shooting in motion or from a vehicle
• Zoom with lens distortion control
• Panning motion for dramatic effect in your shots
• Support for DJI OSMO Mobile and DJI OSMO Mobile 2 handheld gimbals
Attention: DJI OSMO Mobile 3 is not supported (for reasons beyond our control)!
Other features:
• Support for the telephoto lens (on dual camera devices)
• System time, memory and battery indicators in the status bar (pressing the memory indicator changes the viewing mode)
• Setting the shooting Start Time, Interval and Duration
• Ability to change some parameters directly during shooting
• Although the shooting Interval is fixed, you can change the speed of your time-lapse in the Editor before exporting the final video!
• Photo grid with guidelines for the rule of thirds, 1:1 (square) and 2.39:1 (cinematic) aspect ratios
• Geotagging (GPS metadata in photos)
Also:
• A quick view of your time-lapse projects straight on the home screen by just swiping your finger
• A rich featured editor: ability to trim time-lapse, add music or continue time-lapse
• Flexible HDR settings with real time preview in the editor
• Convenient and understandable export settings with the choice of resolution, format, video frame rate and quality
• The resulting video can be saved to a Photo Library, sent to iTunes, or sent to another application
Important!
In the free version, you can shoot time-lapses without worrying about any limitations,
but the export will be limited to the 540p resolution, 30 fps and the video will contain a watermark.
Restrictions are unlocked via a one-time In-App purchases.
Note that if your device has an 8-megapixel camera, which has a 15% lower resolution than the actual 4K, there will be a bit of quality loss while exporting 4K video.

Skyflow – Time FAQ
Is Skyflow – Time free?
Yes, Skyflow – Time is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Skyflow – Time legit?
🤔 The Skyflow – Time app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I have the paid version, and it's really great. Probably the best app for timelapse. There are some minor bugs, like the screen stays in landscape mode after I quit the app, but nothing serious.
On the other hand, I would really appreciate more editing options. Cropping would be great. Also, the ability to preview the whole time lapse after adding hdr effects, not just a frame.
Thanks for the app, great work!
Needs update, possibly abandoned, but still the best
Still a better experience than any of the other time lapse apps. Highly configurable and easy to make changes to the output video. Concerning that the last update was for iOS 13 though.
Made mistake buying this app
App is not good. Unable to use it even after paying for full version. I screen is frozen when I open the app..
Great app.
Great app, all necessary options for Timelapse. Just one question. Why the shutter speed is limited to 1 sec.?
Excellent time lapse video app
Skyflow is an excellent time lapse video app which I've been using for several years on my previous iPhones & currently on my iPhone 14 Pro (which Skyflow fully supports). Skyflow has a wide variety of features but is also straightforward enough for new users.
Many other time lapse video apps require the user to export all the still photos to another app to combine them into a video but Skyflow very conveniently does that within the app & then exports the resulting time lapse video, one option of which is to the Photos app. One particularly helpful feature is the optional on-screen horizontal level which I was very pleased to recently discover will also work just fine when making a vertical time lapse video.
Skyflow is an excellent time lapse video that I definitely recommend.
Request to developer: it would be great if you could extend Skyflow's user interface to make it easier to select the various shooting parameters prior to making a vertical time lapse video.
Great App
I love this app.
Quality app
There is a lot to love about this app!
It has fine grained controls over the capture, a well designed camera interface, and a one time purchase model (at a great price I will add)
I would love to see some updates just to be sure it’s maintained for newer phones, and also a vertical mode for the interface would be a nice touch.
Good app except…
My one problem with this app is that it won’t geotag time lapses, even though I have location services turned on for this app and the geotagging setting enabled. Other than that, it’s a real good app and I highly recommend paying the $3 for the full features!
Update 12/22/23: I have found that when you save individual frames, that the frames are geotagged. But if you try to save the whole time lapse (even with location services turned on), it isn’t geotagged.

Best Timelapse app on iPhone, period.
List of pros would be just too long to post here, but as a many years timelapse enthusiast I’d say this app has _every_ feature you could ever wish for on a mobile phone: 4K jpegs, a lot of custom controls, preview playback _while_ shooting - everything you need.
2 more features I’d like to see:
- manual focus control: for plant photography it’s quite hard to focus on a tiny dot, manual thingy is needed here.
- settings presets: I’d like to save and load presets of exposure/shutter/focus settings.
