Description

Slapstick is the best way to stick it to boring by sticker bombing your living space, AR-style. Each sticker comes with a unique sound effect and animation loop, so you can layer up stickers to create visual and audible compositions for social media. Stick ‘em to walls, floors, pets, screens—or even mid-air! Stickers stay in space where you slap them, so you can build entire animated scenes to walk through, experience, record and share.
SLAP and STICK
Slapstick leverages ARKit’s ability to track surfaces, objects and environments as you move your phone around. Drag a sticker off the in-app tray and slap it onto a surface, and it sticks in place. You also have the ability to rotate, flip, and toggle the stickers within z-space—allowing for precise placement when crafting the AR world around you.
SHARE or SAVE
In-app functionality enables you to share your recordings seamlessly to social media, or save them straight to your phone.
EXPLORE
Slapstick has a whole range of themed sticker packs to choose from, and they’re all free. Each pack is full of unique stickers, designed to layer and build together for never-ending creativity. You can find everything from bumping “House Party” stickers to the trippy “Portals” set, with push notifications alerting you to new sticker pack releases—so you’ll never miss out on new sets!

Fun App But UI Broken On iPhone 8 Plus

Rrrrrrrrrrrock It! on

United States

After the user takes a photo or video, the settings button on the left top of the screen and the close button on the right top of the screen are both just about completely off the top edge of the screen on an iPhone 8 Plus rendering them unresponsive. The only way to go back to the main screen and clear out the captured photo or video is to quit the app.

Unusable interface: updated

This is an update of a review I left just a few days ago. Looks like 99% of the issue I took with the UI (it’s iPhone X and above problem) has been fixed, so, of course, I’m left evaluating the app on the merits of its great animation. I’d still really like to see access to the face camera, but that’s a feature request, not really bugginess. Thank you Buck. This review hurts to write because as a design professional, I’m a HUGE fan of Buck’s work. What they do well - animation, unfortunately, is not the problem with the app. The animation is fantastic, in fact. The other thing that works well is the AR component - stickers stick and track well and easily. The problem with app is that the interface is unusable. For starters, whereas it seems optimized for iPhones X and up (it fills the screen), things land under the notch, and the stickers at the bottom don’t scroll (or not well, if they do. I don’t know- I couldn’t get them to anyway). Additionally, there doesn’t seem to be an obvious way to de-select a sticker, so I found myself constantly dropping a new one onto the screen unintentionally. Also, how is there no option for the face camera - odd omission. Anyway, 5 stars for the animation and quality of AR, minus 3 stars for being unusable. Skip for now. Maybe future updates....?

Create an AR Fun House and Share

I found it’s fun to add a little zaniness to my world! You can walk through rooms and add to them moving gaping mouths, wide eyes, licks of flame or puffs of smoke—and then share your wild and funny AR visions with others. See and share your world in new ways. Download more free packs of animations too beyond the standard set. A fun app! 😎👍
