This app contains a wealth of knowledge by a truly gifted teacher of God's Word. I am continually blessed by the insightful and careful exposition of S Lewis Johnson. May we thank the Lord for access to these teachings.
The invaluable teachings of the late, esteemed Dr. S. Lewis Johnson are finally becoming available in this easy-to-access app. The audio (in many cases, decades old) comes through clean and clear. The sermons are neatly categorized. Best of all, these lessons are now at the fingertips of a wide-spread audience.
This is a wonderful resource for Christians everywhere! I have benefitted more from the ministry of S. Lewis Johnson than probably any other theologian. His expositions are clear; his theology is precise, and his love for The Lord is evident. What a blessing this is to have a resource! Looking forward to more from this app in the future!
Dr. S Lewis Johnson -- probably one of the 20th century's best Bible expositors -- is now accessible via the best mobile experience, iOS. It is great to get Dr. Johnson's deep, yet very accessible by the "layperson", expository, doctrines-of-grace oriented teaching easily available to the owners of iPhones and iPads. Like many other evangelical iOS apps, SLJ Institute is based on the Church App by SubSplash (use subsplash or the church app as a search phrase to find others). This provides the user with not only streaming audio and (probably in the next release or two) video of SLJ, but on-device access of messages that have been downloaded and stored for future playback. Transcripts are also available thru the SLJ App -- but the fonts are tiny. Fortunate, there are ways around that. Recommended! (Disclaimer: I'm heavily involved in SLJinstitute.net and bchapel.org -- so I can't say I'm unbiased. But I actually do like this app and it will solve some of the problems people have with the websites -- "how do I store the messages on my iPad", etc. And I think you'll like it too!)
