Missing routes, incomplete topos, and buggy software makes for a unpleasant experience. Relying on sloper exclusively to find climbs would be a mistake. However, sloper has a lot of potential. Unfortunate it is the last few pieces that count in this case.
Bugs as of August 2021:
Forced sign out and did not allow me to log back in. Now I have two paid sloper subs.
Back button sits over previous app button.
Great app .
Excellent compliment to guidebooks. Easy to use . Very extensive for Bow Valley , ab, Canada.
Great app, very clear and well done
Very nice app, the interface is really cool, specially the sector maps and the panoramas with the routes. Color codes allows you to find quickly what route is accessible to your level.
Not that much topos, would be amazing to have more stuff but it’s a great start 👌
Would hesitate to take some other monthly subscriptions for climbing trips, totally worth it!
Fails to recognize my subscription.
I recently subscribed to this app but instead of it activating all the extra content it just redirects me to the subscribe option again. When I click on that it says I’ve already subscribed....I tried redownloading the app, trying it on an iPad, and canceling the subscription with no success.
It doesn’t work with older phones
Yeah I have a iPhone 6plus and I get as far as the loading page and it kicks me out so your phone probably needs to be a new phone
Fantastic App
Have used this App since the beginning and think its fantastic, not just for the route bata and high resolution pictures but for all the tracking and reporting features it has. The App is constantly adding new climbing areas and or routes (which is no small task) and improving the Apps functionality. Hopefully it keeps getting better and better!
Nice idea
I love the idea of the app. I also tried 27Crags but they do not have as many locations as this app. My only issue is that I am unable to download crags. Definitely a let down
Best
Best climbing guidebook app I’ve used
Heartbreak
Has such potential but unfortunate let down. Can only access one crag and it’s the Niagra Glenn which is fine but forced to have a bunch that is not local to me to be on my offerings. @ mount nemo today and nothing popped up. Paid the subscription to both the premium app, niagra Glenn topo even though I already have the guidebook. Figured it would help out the local Canadians right?for some reason still get the full functionality of the app to work Like I said some great potential but very unreliable. For now at least. I really do hope you get the bugs under control.
Please fix bugs
A number of issues id like to see fixed
-does not stay logged in. Nullifies downloading areas for offline use because you need to be online to log in
-crashes while doing most things. (App doesn't close but goes blank screen and unresponsive)
-not kidding 80% of functions will crash the app
-missing descriptions of how to get to crags/separate walls at crags
-lack of instructions to use app (maybe they are there but my app crashes before i can find them)
I would be happy to pay good money if the app was more functional and be excited to use it.
