Smart Eye Camera (SEC)は現役眼科医が、日本及び途上国での診療で感じた問題点を解決するために、自ら発案しゼロから開発を行った、医療機器です。

SECはiPhoneのアタッチメントであり、取り付けることによっ て、既存の細隙灯顕微鏡と同様に眼瞼・角結膜・前房・虹彩・ 水晶体・硝子体の観察ができ、白内障などの眼科疾患を診断す ることができます。
SECの開発によって、場所を選ばずに眼科的診察を行うことが 可能となりました。世界の失明人口は3,600万人、30年後には1 億2,000万人を越えると言われております。原因の半分以上は 適切な診断と治療で克服が可能な白内障であり、ポータブルで 簡便なSECを使って、失明のない世界を目指します。
