Never works

Wajster on

Just won’t connect to the alarm to set or unset. Banham should not claim what they can’t deliver. Bad quality.

iPhone Upgrade Nightmare

Mr Bective on

United Kingdom

I recently upgraded from an iPhone 12 to an iPhone 15, and noticed that notifications no longer worked. I called Banham for advice. After a 45 minute attempt to repair the operability of the app, I was told they would need to delete my account, wait 24 hours, and set up a new account. I see Banham has not updated the app for two years. It seems a pretty poor interface for what should be a premium service.

Historic brand, awful app

tomparker81 on

This is a truly terrible app, particularly when you consider the cost of an annual Banham membership. It barely works. Those in charge of the company should be ashamed of how this is what their customers use daily to engage with their service.

Woeful App

Slow, has to reconnect, sometimes doesn’t work at all, pointless alarm upgrade with useless customer service, don’t bother

Needs an overhaul

tomhall85 on

I use this app for activating and deactivating our Banham alarm and it’s painful to use: it’s slow and it often kicks me back to a “reconnect” screen after activating the alarm which is a weird thing to happen. Face ID doesn’t work as I’d expect it to, I’d expect to be able to activate & deactivate the alarm without having to manually type in pin codes! Some quick wins to make the app better: 1) improved user experience when activating / de-activating the alarm; don’t bounce users to the “reconnect screen” show them the status of the alarm. 2) enable users to use Face ID instead of typing in their pin code each time. 3) make the app carplay compatible so I can deactivate the alarm from the car as I pull onto my drive

No longer works

Big Tram on

United Kingdom

App seems to have stopped connecting to alarm properly. The app records when the alarm is set and unset but no longer allows any setting or unsetting via the app. Doesn’t connect to device.

Stuck on Retrieving device information

Gedneldjv on

United Kingdom

It’s been weeks since I haven’t been able to access my alarm remotely, despite it being connected via Ethernet to a very robust broadband. The app gets stuck on retrieving device information, then shows the error message reconnect. App is up to date, phone is up to date and rebooted, please sort it out

Needs improvement

Cazza161 on

United Kingdom

Really slow to turn the alarm on and off, with a constant wheel of doom. Also, when you have turned the alarm on or off the ‘confirmation’ message says ‘Connection failed, retry’. Not very user friendly as it looks like an error! You end up having to go back to the place you turn the alarm on or off in order to see if turning on/ off has worked properly! Please just add a proper confirmation message.

Appalling

B-ODC on

United Kingdom

The Banham app is appalling. Clunky, temperamental and so slow. Compared to the simple fob you get from ADT, the Banham app makes it so hard (and slow) to set and unset the alarm. If you’re considering Banham as an alarm provider - don’t. Until they sort this app out I would go elsewhere.

Terrible for such an expensive service

mlburch86 on

United Kingdom

For such an expensive Alarm, the app is appalling. It simply never works, constantly crashes or logs you out. You would think that Banham would have made it a priority to provide a better service. I would never recommend them
