New User Interface Fail
Unfortunately, the new user experience often fails, leaving me unable to use the app approximately 50% of the time. On multiple occasions, I’ve had to forgo using the app entirely, which not only caused me to miss out on points and rewards but also costed me more since I have to pay by credit card instead. It is also proved inconvenient since I often leave my wallet in the car, trusting the app to work seamlessly. The updated app also feels less intuitive and requires more effort to locate rewards and coupons. These recurring issues are disappointing, particularly as someone who has consistently chosen SmartPay over competitors for at least 10 years now. Recently, I’ve found myself visiting other gas stations, such as Citgo, where the user experience has been more reliable and consistent.
