SnapBridge 360/170 Reviews
Almost NEVER works
I’ve been trying to use this app for a couple of years now and it’s only successfully connected to my camera three times! I’ve tried everything in the “help” section and I still get the “connection unsuccessful” error. On the EXTREMELY rare occasions when it has worked the process of downloading photos to my phone has been pretty quick and easy but since the app seemingly CANNOT connect to my P1000, it’s pretty much all but useless.
Doesn’t work
This app does not work.
Waste of time, does not work
I have both d850 and z9, and neither would connect. Don’t waste your time on this. I know, because I spent two day of web search and never got this piece of crap to work
waste of an hour; nfg
Z7ii will not pair with either BT or WiFi. Constant loop of both bevices seeing each other and saying paired or connected in phone settings but in app "connection failed".
iPhone 13 Pro iOS 15.5
Snapbridge 2.9.0
The bridge snapped...brilliant Nikon
Old and doesn’t work
Not with the times, old, and can never establish connection with any of my DLSRs or mirrorless cameras. Other camera companies don’t have this problem with wireless connection. Nikon hasn’t fixed this for years. Lazy.
Doesn’t work with iPad/iPhone, only android, so far
Tried multiple devices and this software doesn’t work with apple products, only android, so far
Not working with iOS 14.2
Updated review: this app will no longer connect to the camera. I deleted the app and attempted to connect with a fresh start. It will start the pairing process and go through the steps to connect, but fails to pair properly. I tested the camera with an android device, and it connects as expected. Clearly the newest iOS update broke the functionality, so the app needs to be updated to use this.
I have the Nikon Keymission 360 camera and use it extensively. It's a great camera but requires the use of this app to effectively use the camera properly. There are several limitations with the app though. Since I use an iPhone to connect to the camera the app must be started and you go through several steps to connect via Bluetooth, only to then connect to the camera as an access point. This has improved, but still takes a while. And if you want to take a few pictures in a row, you have to leave the app open and the phone on. If you put your phone to sleep or your screen goes dark, you have to go through the process of reconnecting to the camera all over again. This drains the battery very quickly. While you can take photos and videos with the cameras buttons directly, the metadata of the images captured this way will not contain location or day/time info. The metadata is borrowed from the phone's location, day and time then transferred to the images when connected to the camera. So it is almost essential that you use the app if you want this metadata. The app will also download photos from the camera to the iPhone directly, even the full high res versions fairly quickly, but the name of the photos is "temporary.jpg" and not the number of the image on the card. While this is not a big deal, I have found that the temporary images downloaded this way have to be deleted from my phone before pulling images from the card. Otherwise the images downloaded from the card may not replace the ones downloaded from the camera to the phone, as they contain the same date/time stamp. I prefer the image names to be what the camera named them, instead of "temporary.jpg". If you do not want them downloaded to the phone, and always just download them from the card to a computer, this is not a big deal.
iPhone 11 pro max user!
This does not pair with mine!
Horrible camera horrible app
Just when I thought the Coolpix camera couldn’t get any worse, it did with this crap app. Thanks for nothing Nikon!
iPhone XR incompadable
This app works great on my old android phone. Will not connect to my new iPhone XR. I am very disappointed.
