SnapRevise: A-level & GCSE

I can’t upgrade…..I like the app, but there’s nowhere to upgrade. I tried the WhatsApp but the number doesn’t have a WhatsApp account, the messenger is not working, and the Email too….

Honestly I would love to say this app is amazing, and I do think it has some amazing resources, but there are improvements to be made. The psychology course only currently has one unit, but it is the same price as biology and chemistry which doesn’t make sense. In addition, there are some questions on the quizzes where the answers are wrong - for example it marked that increasing temperature above the optimum increases enzyme activity, and proceeded to explain why it decreases enzyme activity (after marking my answer on this wrong). Most of all, it’s just too expensive. I’ve tried out the free trial but have cancelled my subscription.

I used snap revise for A-Level Biology and wow, it’s all organised and perfectly layed out so you can go back to to a topic if your unsure of it. Also, I can’t believe how amazing the price is, 2 digit price! It must have taken hours to put together and film, and I wouldve paid double if need be. To be honest you could easily pass A-Level Biology with just this, especially if you self study. Im in Durham Uni now doing a degree in Biology, and if it hadn’t been for snap revise, I wouldn’t be doing this. Thank you!!

I used this for a level geography. The videos were okay but the teacher would regularly make small mistakes or stumble over her words which became quite frustrating when just trying to listen. May as well just watch YouTube videos that are free and explain things better. I now want to cancel my subscription but when I clicked to restore it didn’t let me. I logged out my account and tried to get back in but it says my password is wrong and there is no ‘forgot password’ option so now I’m stuck and don’t want to keep paying! The back up options it isn’t accepting.!

I have the Snaprevise courses for Biology and chemistry OCR A A levels. The videos are useful however there are far too many mistakes! Not only did I notice many spelling or grammatical mistakes, there are also mistakes in the information being taught!! When paying for a revision tool you expect perfection (especially for the price of snaprevise!). Not only this, you pay for your exam board but they add unnecessary information for other exam boards which is really confusing and in the long run is quite detrimental while they earn money for making one course for about 3 exam boards. Another issue is with the videos themselves. They often pause in the middle of the video and crash (this has happened on both my phone and laptop and to other people I know) and the only way to rectify it is to reload the whole website! Super annoying. This also sometimes goes so far as to completely crash the video so that it refuses to play for hours. Really disappointed in Snaprevise - for the price you’re paying it should be so much better than what you get! :(

When you rotate your screen, there is hardly any control over videos. You have to tap about 5 times before it pauses, and you’ll randomly touch a place on the screen and it turns the volume all the way up and the brightness all the way up. gets really annoying when you need to pause on a point and the video keeps playing, then you skip back and try to pause again at that point and it does not stop.

I’ve been really struggling with Chemistry in A-Level and it was a really concerning problem for me as I need an A form my career choice. I decided to download this and it’s bettered my understanding of Chemistry sooo much more. I’m planning to do a little every morning and hopefully I’ll get that A!!!

Only covers about 3 topics for A Level Biology unless you buy premium. Not a good help for students looking for a free app to assist in their already expensive education.

I his app is really good it’s really easy to use and it’s helped me revise better and more efficiently. But there isn’t much of a range to choose from on the GCSE option there is only science but on the A-level option there is a lot more even psychology but they are to complex for high school students to understand.

It’s good but the app does not work on my laptop. Videos keep stopping half way. It’s very good for Biology and okay for Chemistry. I do not recommend for maths at all.
