snoww: track your skiing

Great app to track your skiing. Works well on Apple Watch SE and iOS 15. You can even import TCX files from 10 years ago to get past data. Thanks so much!

I used to love this app but this year it crashes whenever I try and sign in. I have tried every way but crashes every time. I have in installed and re-installed the app but still nothing. Very disappointing.

As an avid skier, I recently invested in the latest skiing tracker, eager to enhance my on-slope experience and track my progress. However, what ensued was nothing short of a traumatic skiing ordeal, all thanks to the abysmal performance of this device. Upon first use, the tracker failed to sync with my smartphone, despite multiple attempts and following the instructions meticulously. Frustrated but determined, I decided to proceed with skiing, hoping the device would catch up. Alas, that was wishful thinking. The tracker's accuracy was laughable at best, providing wildly inaccurate data on my speed, distance traveled, and even my location on the slope. It often claimed I was skiing at improbable speeds or in places I hadn't ventured near. This not only undermined any trust I had in its capabilities but also left me questioning its safety implications. To exacerbate matters, the tracker's battery life was shockingly short-lived, barely lasting a single run down the slope before dying on me. It left me stranded without any means of tracking my progress or safety in case of an emergency. But perhaps the most distressing aspect of this ordeal was the customer support—or lack thereof. Despite numerous attempts to reach out for assistance and troubleshooting, I was met with automated responses, long wait times, and ultimately no resolution to my issues. In conclusion, my experience with this skiing tracker was nothing short of traumatic. From its malfunctioning features to its abysmal battery life and nonexistent customer support, it not only failed to meet my expectations but also jeopardized my safety on the slopes. I would strongly advise against investing in this product unless you're in the market for a ski-induced nightmare.

Great start for this app, but it doesn’t have any piste map information? It’s great to know my friends are 2km away, but not much use if I don’t know how to get to them? The user journeys for this app is challenging as well. Finding how to get to groups and add groups for example isn’t logical, even for a millennial who knows their apps! Someway to go with snoww.

Amazing app if you have an older phone. I loved it. When I switched to an iPhone 12 it didn’t work at all with a whole day of skiing being only 1 kilometre - this was ver annoying. I now have to bring two phones (my older phone) to record my stats. PLEASE FIX

Doesn’t always work.

I have this app on one phone and Ski Tracks what day is today on another phone. This app constantly loses tracks and distance and is very unreliable. Ski Tracks on mine and my partner’s phone always very similar.

I have used this over several years, and the social aspects were very useful when with a group. This season however, it can’t detect people or runs. Only detected 4 runs for the whole day

Doesn’t work properly on our iPhone 10, 11, 13 and 15. I’m guessing because of a iOS update. Doesn’t measure speed, distance or number of runs. This is a pitty as it was a really great app for skiing and loved to earn the little badges. Please fix!

The app is lovely but as it doesn’t have good recognition of the ski areas in Chamonix, data like runs completed is very inaccurate. Top speed is often wildly wrong.
