Was looking for an app that would let me track solely sodium, without being asked to enter in additional info like calories, portion size, etc. I like how this app lets me very quickly enter an item in without asking me for more info.
Sodium Tracker
Looks this will help me greatly!!!
Bar code doesn’t work
Disappointing the bar code scanner doesn’t work so you have to search each product - then it’s a wonky adj to find an amount to match the sodium listed on the package. Nothing as simple as picking 1 serving. But the it’s better ten nothing for tracking.
Martin
I live with CKD (Cronic Kidney Disease). I am 52 years old and have stage 3B. My goal is to avoid dialysis as I age. I have been vegan for six years, but it’s very easy to cheat on sodium via chips, French fries and/or any processed foods. I find I either lose track of the amount of sodium in my head or I just lie and justify eating the food. I LOVE that this app is simple and holds me accountable on a daily basis!! I believe this app will help extend my quality of life. Thank you for creating this app!
Sincerely,
Martin Abdo
Great app
Boomer here. It could not be easier. I did get the pro version. I feel the yearly cost is fair.
Nice, but expected more with Pro version!
I love this app that helps me track my sodium intake. I signed up for the pro account to make it easier to search and quickly add items to my dairy. Unfortunately, the food database doesn’t allow me to add items directly to my dairy. I have to enter everything manually, which I find very frustrating (especially after paying for this service).
Like except Goal reset
Love the ease of use with Groups and Favorites. Purchased the Pro version to get salt from similar items and meals.
Please, change the goal feature to allow option to retain history plus option to apply new goal to my history or retain history with old goal.
Currently changing goal deletes all history.
Limited, but effective enough
The food database is my main peeve with the paid app. I got used to the one used by Carb Manager, and it’s much more thorough and flexible. With Sodium Tracker, one can’t submit error reports for nutrition content or create a personal food for one’s own Favorites or publish it to the app’s database. I have to look up everything for sodium content as I log each item. I can input a food from scratch without having to add it from a database, which Carb Manager makes you do, but their database and verification process seem as though they’re really trying to help users log their entries accurately. Most are on the Keto diet, and it helps that. Sodium Tracker does a good job tracking sodium intake, and the auxiliary information is of use. It could just be better. Being able to copy a food item to other days or meals on that same day would also be helpful. It’s difficult to cut and paste manually. I will keep using Sodium Tracker, but I may only resort to the complementary version.
Needs simple, very simple improvements
Regardless of the fact that you mostly have to enter in your own content because their library covers maybe 80% of food, not a lot from Whole Foods or organic things. The biggest concern is EASE. Last thing people need is added stress when trying to maintain a low sodium diet. You should be able to add a previously listed item as your favorite from your past days. It would be very simple to just put a button “add to favorites.”That and the fact apparently you can contact them except by writing a review even though I’m a premium member is kind of bush league
Great Help Tracking the salt
A simple yet highly efficient app! Missed a day add it later. The database for finding salt content is awesome. Highly recommend!
