Solo: Easy Tax NZ

Solo is great for keeping track of your finances and tax obligations as long as you’re diligent with categorising all your income and expenses. My only gripe is that it sometimes takes up to three days for my expenses and income to appear in the app. Otherwise, I’ll keep on using Solo for the foreseeable future.

It is a super easy to use, intuitive app with lots of available help. I have had issues discovered quickly resolved. On my wish list is a feature to properly account for employer share scheme type of income that is reported to IRD to ensure correct calculation of tax in Solo. The rental and small business support is excellent too.

This app really exceeded my expectations, they always update it as well. Very responsive support team / developers I simply set everything up in the beginning and everytime it’s filing time I just enter the details as showed in the app. Never struggled with filing gst or tax return. Saved $1k on hiring an accountant or more. Keep up the good work.

I like this app but wish it would create tax, income and expense totals based on my GST cycles. I pay GST 2 monthly and it’s not easy to see income for that period so I have to manually calculate it. Unless I’m missing a trick.

Solo has been amazing. I understand my tax situation much better and have found filing with the IRD fast and simple. When I’ve had questions I’ve had rapid personalised support from Solo. I have saved so much in accounting fees already but more importantly I’m not worried about a tax shock!

I’m glad I found this app. It’s saved me heaps on my GST returns and the tax previews make everything super simple. Thanks Solo team! Amazing.

I really like that this app is designed to keep accounting simple for sole traders. Other accounting apps/software have too much depth and detail that isn’t needed or makes it too complicated & overwhelming.
