Published by: Solodigitalis

Description

SoloSlides for Google Photos is perfect for that old iPad you have in your kitchen or living room: it plays a full-screen slideshow of your photos on your iOS device and your TV (Smart TV or Apple TV). Photos can be played from Google Photos directly, or your Camera Roll, or from Wifibooth (separate app).
There are NO ads in this app. This app is supported by Premium, an optional one-time in-app purchase that unlocks some features (see below). Many thanks for supporting our developers! There are NO subscriptions in this app.
This app handles gigantic Google Photo libraries with millions of photos without a hitch, because it doesn't try to discover all of your photos at once.
FREE features include:
- Automatically updates when photos are added to / removed from your Google Photos library or Camera Roll
- Display your photos on your Smart TV without installing an app on your TV (TV must support DLNA / UPNP)
- Display your photos on your Apple TV
- Hide photos so the app doesn't show them anymore, without deleting or modifying the photos in any way
- Filtering by album or date range
- Automatically filter out photos of documents, receipts, etc (Google Photos only)
- Share the currently showing photo to another app
Features unlocked with one-time purchase of Premium include:
- Shuffle (random order) or newest-to-oldest (requires Premium)
- Clock (requires Premium)
- Photo creation date (requires Premium)
- Nighttime mode can be turned on to automatically show a dim black screen during what you define as "nighttime" (requires Premium)

absolutely terrible, said my Wi-Fi WASNT working when my Wi-Fi was absolutely fine because if not then how could I write this?Exactly. DOESNT work, is a scam.

Excellent!

Just one small feedback request ~ I’d love the time font to be larger. The iPad is across the room and the current font is too small to be useful. The ability to increase the size would make this app perfect!

Does exactly what it says on the tin for a very reasonable price

Purchased the upgrade and love the additional features. By far the best photo frame app I’ve tried. Easy linking with google photos was a key for me. Feature requests: The Ken Burns feature works perfectly on some photos, but on others, it zooms in on completely the wrong part of the photo. I’m not exactly sure how to improve on this, but maybe adjusting the strength of the ken burns effect, or being able to select a focus point? I also don’t see the need for a black screen between images, can we have the next queued image loaded in the background prior to being shown?

Perfect

Used for a photo frame containing an iPad which previously ran slide shows based on the photos on the device, which were annoying to sync. Now it all just works - new photos on Google photos appear automatically on the iPad solo slide show soon after they are added. Bought the premium version to allow shorter display times and enabled other features to fine tune. Thanks for a great app.

Annoying on full screen, a bit disappointed after upgraded to premium

The portrait modes photos are displaying as chopping off heads on full screen Should have some logic identifying people heads or else don’t enlarge the portrait pics on landscape displaying mode It should fit the screen cleverly or else leave those ones as standard size Should convert to resolution of the target iPad/iPhone resolution and display accordingly We have old iPad 1024/768 Also should give flexible to select multi albums

Fantastic for using iPad as photo frame

Been running this app for a week without ever having to touch the iPad. Makes it a superb digital photo frame. Can point to iCloud shared albums which update even as the slideshow is ongoing so can always add new photos! Brilliant.

Why not Google chromecast?
