No privacy practices and no choice but to open everything to the app
No privacy practices and no choice but to open everything to the app. If I just want to slow down music I must open ALL my files, pictures, videos, songs, and I presume anything to this app and it’s owners.
The app only opens files from the music library
See above. If your music isn’t stored in the library, you can’t open it. This makes it useless for me and most other people.
A waste. Shouldn’t have given it access to my library. Delete
I just kept getting messages that this piece of junk couldn’t find the url for the song. Why does it need a url for a song in my library which I gave it access to?
Delete - delete - delete
Good while it lasted
Simple and did exactly what I wanted it to - change pitch and speed independently. For several weeks now it crashes during launch so it’s unusable. Bummer.
Poor app
I just downloaded it, opened it up, registered, opened again, chose a song from Apple on my computer, ....nothing...white screen of death. Frozen completely. All other iPad programs working fine. Disappointed.
Great potential
If they fix a few bugs it would be great. App just stops mid way through songs making it frustrating to use. Also every time you use it you have to reload song which also seems sub optimal. Program should resume from last session. Also frustrating.
Does not recognize the position of the iPan
I am using an iPan with a keyboard in "landscape" mode. When Song Surgeon Trainer opens, the first screen displays in portrait mode. In other words, if you are using the iPad keyboard, the app appears like is on it's side.
Futhermore, on the next application screen, the app appears upside down if you are using the iPad with a keyboard.
I suggest that the developers of this app recode it so that the app is responsive to the position of the iPad.
Excellent functionality but...
A previous reviewer mentioned something about only one channel. I can't attest to that. What I have seen so far is an excellent interface, the ability to change pace and pitch, and create a loop to practice a section of a song. The functions are straight forward and easy to manage.
All this for free is fantastic, however, I would like the ability to save the loops I've created. As it stands, I have to keep the current song in the app, otherwise, I lose my loop and have to find the song again if I exit to the main page.
Other than that one gripe, this is a fantastic program.
Neat but could be even better.
It delivers what they said it would. Easy design and clear however I would like to see an option to upload the final edit to another app like Dropbox or soundcloud so we can share our mixes. Other than that, it's great.
Not working with stereo
I had to learn a solo and the app plays one channel.
