Sophos Authenticator is a simple and intuitive application that provides multi-factor authentication on your mobile device. It generates both time-based and event-based one-time passwords (OTP) according to RFC 6238 and RFC 4226.
Once configured, 2-step authentication protects your account by requiring both your password and an additional code, thus adding an extra layer of security. The app will generate these codes for you in a convenient way, directly on your smartphone or tablet, without the need for Internet connection. Sophos Authenticator does not only operate with a Sophos account, but also with accounts from Google, Facebook, Dropbox, Github and all the other providers who implement authentication in this standardised way.
Features:
- Can generate both time-based (TOTP) and counter-based (HOTP) codes
- SHA-1, SHA-256 and SHA-512 hash algorithm supported
- Add an account easily by simply scanning a QR code with your device camera or by manual input
- Great flexibility: the time-step for TOTP accounts can be any number of seconds and is not limited to 30 seconds
- HOTP accounts can use any given initial counter and don't have to start from the beginning
- Generated codes can be 6 or 8 digits wide
- Your secret keys are stored in encrypted form on the app keychain
- No Internet/network connection needed, everything happens offline
- Accounts can be easily sorted in the list
- Copy any generated code to the clipboard by tapping on it

Nearly no new features

Add Group function Add Archive or Folder to Move Legacy OTP out of sight for daily business (Manage more than 20 Entries) Improve visability between Entires in Black-Mode. Move Vendor/App Name to the Top next to the Username. Update the Sophos Logo

Bad visibility

Please enhance the design. In dark mode I hardly see the separation lines between the entries (dark mode off is not really better) and the font is way too small. Allow to add/edit custom text and maybe even an icon for each entry.

Erfüllt die Basics

… aber noch ziemlich Luft nach oben: 1. Abstand nach 3 Ziffern würde Codes besser lesbar machen. 2. Wenn Timer abläuft, sollte der vorherige oder nächste Code noch 10 Sekunden angezeigt werden. Der harte Übergang ist unnötig. 3. Keine Export/Import/Backup Möglichkeit.

Split view missing

On iPad I miss the split view. The support of the multitasking features would make things easier if the password has to be typed in an app on the sam device.

iPhone 6 Support

Please add iPhone 6 Support. This Zoom Mode is not so cool.

Alles weg nach iPhone Übernahme

Alle eingerichteten Zugangcodes sind weg, wenn man zu einem neuen iPhone migriert. Das ist sehr ärgerlich, vor Allem, wenn man das alte schon gelöscht hat. Dann kommt man kaum noch an die Systeme ran. Mindestens bei der App „Network Tools“ wurden die OTP Token übernommen.

Pin-Code fehlt

Eine super App. Einfach und trotzdem fehlt die Möglichkeit eines Schutzes durch PIN oder Face-ID.
