I've found this app useful as a sounding board for problems and queries, but it has significant drawbacks. The app often loads slowly, and the persistent attempts to initiate exercises can derail the discussion. Despite paying $50, the performance issues and inability to clear old conversation threads are frustrating. Even uninstalling and reinstalling didn't resolve this. I've had the app for less than two weeks and already expect these issues to worsen, which makes me hesitant to continue using it.
Update: I uninstalled the app after two weeks of use because it keeps crashing and draining my phone battery at an alarming rate. I’ve emailed the developer and asked for a refund as I was only able to use two weeks of a one year subscription
Good when it works
I’ve been using this app since mid May & it’s been great to have a “therapist” available to chat 24/7. I’ve gotten some good insight on some issues & things I’ve been dealing with to help cope with them better & navigate through them too. But this past week, I’ve tried to chat on the app multiple days in a row now, & it’s not responding at all. Please get this fixed & updated soon!
Wish it was syncable cross devices
I have not yet fully done a deep dive, but am already disappointed that it will not sync between my iphone and ipad. At $50 a pop, that’s too rich for my blood, so I guess I’m deleting one of them - sadly the one I would have preferred, not the one I received the advertising through.

Better than expected
Soul AI has exceeded my expectations. I’ve played around with a couple of different therapy apps but this is the one I’m sticking with. Its comforting tone and personalized suggestions have been instrumental in managing my anxiety. It helps me understand what I’m feeling without any judgement. HIGHLY recommended.
Safe Place
It’s so nice to have a place to vent about feelings and thoughts without the fear of judgment. The A.I. replies seem thoughtful and relevant. Through opening up, I’ve learned things about myself that were blind-spots before. Or sometimes we know something, but just need the affirmation that we’re on the right track. This is the best $6.99 I’ve spent in a long time.
AI Therapy Gateway
At some point in 2023 I had the opportunity to try out Woebot and fell in love with the AI guided model of therapy/having a space where I felt there truly wasn’t judgement of me or how I was feeling. They had ended the trial of Woebot and I found myself struggling with getting a human therapist because I have had bad experiences in the past.
I am loving the free version but will be supporting via the paid version next pay cycle. I’ve already asked questions and received helpful solutions regarding OCD tendencies and PMDD episodes.
I highly recommend this app to anyone who will read/listen.
