Frequently looses connection to the sound bar. Not very many options you would expect to fine tune your soundbar
Love the sound bar but the remote has a range of like 2 feet. And this app you have to set up the sound bar each and every time you use it. It doesn’t remember the sound bar. It’s useless
I loved, absolutely loved, couldn’t get enough of my sound bar and sub woofer addition. Where has this been all my life? The sound was enormous and there wasn’t a minute when I was home that this masterful device wasn’t playing. So dynamic, from podcasts to video games and video and studio editing. My books on tape, as well as sleep sounds of rolling ocean waves and distant thunderstorms only demonstrated the versatility of this intuitive beast. All from my phone, I lived in bless as I took phone calls, ordered sushi and had Alexa wake me with the latest in the Nikkei. Now my sound bar and subwoofer fail to pair. Hugely frustrating, especially because I changed nothing of the set-up. As per the manual I started and restarted the sound bar and went through the steps of rebooting and troubleshooting. Still no connection. I called support who took me through the same exact process, and then I was placed with third party who suggested I bring in or mail to a service center, also third party. I can still use the sound bar, but there is no more sound from the sub woofer and I am left a bit disappointed. It was great while it lasted though.
Plus, it doesn’t sound good enough to justify such high maintenance. It sounds fine, but it’s a pain to have to do a reset every time we want to watch something. Oh yea, I also hate how it turns itself off if it’s idle after what seems like 3 minutes. Then I have to reset it again. Poor design features.
The remote control doesn’t work unless you stand up and are right on top of the unit. You have to change the volume using the app on your phone. Sounds is ok but the inadequate remote makes me regret this purchase.
Almost never works. Rarely ever loads. Consistently fails to detect or link/sync with any of the broadband networks available to use, now or past. This irritation persists across all mobile devices; every brand, OS, and age. It performs poorly with every ISP, regardless of one’s [wireless] plan/package, in every neighborhood and at any and all hours of the day. tl;dr Yamaha REMOTE no worky way more than half the time. App f’n sux~~ F- y’allmaha done failed!!!
I have no regrets purchasing this sound bar
Stops working, have to restart and reconnect the sound bar multiple times
Move playlist to other side of volume control. Make volume slider wider, to make easier to grab and drag.
It’s great. Love I can control it with the iPhone. But it is a little cumbersome of an app here and there.
