They typically have a over boosted bass in my opinion, but with this app I was able to EQ some of it out and really clear up the sound. The app Is really simple and fast as well. Would recommend.
I feel like apple has a hold on you here. I use SoundID formally Sonarworks Reference on my Mac since the dawn of time and its amazing. Checked out this app hoping I can get a similar experience but looks like this is only a marketing gimmick.
There’s only 4 headphones supported and they are very unpopular headphones that most people don’t have so I’m not really sure what the point of this app is on Apple. I know on android there’s 400 or so supported headphones. Maybe this is more on apples fault than SoundID but either way this app is pretty much a waste of time on IOS.
Only supposed four headphone models. If you have any other pair of headphones like 99% of us do, you’re out of luck.
Unable to connect my drop pandas even with trying to get help from the troubleshoot it keeps saying “Unable to connect” “Something went wrong while connecting your headphones”
I don’t understand what’s going on here. On the desktop app sonarworks supports an incredible amount of headphone profiles, and in the videos I watched it seemed like that was the case for the mobile app too, but when I downloaded it for iOS in the setup it’s only giving me 4 headphone options, rather obscure ones at that. None of which I have. I can’t seem to get around having to choose one, so I’m not sure if I could use this app in any way. I don’t really care if they have my headphone profile, all I want is to access a custom eq so I can bring down a high shelf and cut down on ear fatigue from these bright headphones, but can’t figure it out how to get past the setup. Help! Am I missing something? I’ve had a lot of respect for sonarworks until now so I’m really vexed by what they’ve made here
I love this app, changes the feel of headphones for the better, plenty of headphones they have done eq for but for some reason all of my headphones I put in the app are gone on pc and app now? Only my audiotechica ATH-AD700x are still on it. None the less, this program is a game changer
Big disappointment that calibration really only works on 4 specific types of headphones. Any common pairs like airpods or studio headphones, you are limited to listening to pointless little ringtone type songs within the app. You CANNOT listen to streaming services, or anything else. And unfortunately, even if you DO have one of the four that can save Sound Id profiles on it, they don’t connect half the time, I find myself constantly hitting “forget this device” and re-pairing my headphones to get the app to recognize them. Please work on this more, it has SUCH POTENTIAL.
I had written before about the lack of accessibility of this app for blind folks. I had hoped the developers might actually do the right thing and make this app useable by everyone. I suppose that is still too much to ask.
