DO NOT GET THIS APP

You will waste hours of your time making a track only to be unable to export it. If you search about the issue on google people have been having this problem for YEARS and they still have not fixed it. Even if you go on the actual website in your browser it will not let you export. Massive massive waste of time. Soundtrack’s “solutions” they give do not solve the problem. It is massively difficult to use anyway even if it did export. Worst music production app I have ever used, by far. Use BandLab. Even Audacity is better than this.

Do I need the newest IPhone?

I don’t understand how it struggles to play instruments in high quality when a browser can run it without a single problem. I’d like to work on my own beats on the go in mobile but it reduces the quality of the instruments and sound nothing like they should. A beat that had 2 instruments keep being “overloaded” and had to reduce the quality to medium, which at that point doesn’t even play one of them due to that. If I’m paying for the premium version it should be worth paying for. GarageBand runs perfectly fine in comparison to this app and I’m talking about using the same IPhone as well (2nd Gen SE). I don’t wish to hate on this app because I genuinely have the motivation to work on my beats even to add something simple if an a idea comes to mind but I can’t even do that. The app has definitely been improved as of late but I feel the main focus should be in being able to hear the instruments in the quality they should be at as the previews show rather than playing a completely different sound.

Stole my money

I love this app, or atleast used to. It worked great for a free DAW but I wanted to level up my experience, so I purchased premium for a month. Yet when I log onto the app it says I don’t have premium, when I try to restore purchases it says a problem occurred. Please fix this problem or give me my money back!!!!

i’ve been using sound trap for years now to listen to my music off my phone.. but within the last week it’s been straight tweaking. i can’t listen to my music anymore and and they redesigned the layout of the app or something idk but it’s practically useless to me and i will most likely stop using the app

Used to be great. Now barely functions

Stripy Poo on

The app version used to be great and I used it regularly. Now, it is worse than useless. It no longer has a custom interface and just uses the webpage interface, which makes navigation extremely difficult. I have great internet but nothing ever loads. Tracks are glitchy and miss half of their notes, and there are errors galore. Something must have happened, because this app randomly just became unbearable. Opening soundtrap up in a safari tab is probably preferable at this point.

too much, and none of it works.

Spotify has got to stop starting new projects and then leaving them unfinished. This app is one of the most horrific things, and the fact it’s produced by Spotify company is crazy. It’s adjacent to a mobile game you design in a highschool class. Some things that happened after simply opening the app and opening a project: -3 pop ups happening at once overlaying eachother, making them unreadable -error messages for days -a project with 6 tracks apparently being too much and needing lower sound quality. -half of tracks wouldn’t play ? Just silent -also the fact that the corners/edges of the screens are white, was this built for an iPad and I’m just out of the loop? The worst part is: I couldn’t even export a track. All I wanted to do, was export my track as an mp3 so I can listen to it , because god knows this app won’t let me listen to it easily!! But I can even do that. I love soundtrap, but this mobile app is so sad. It makes me sad. I am so sad.
