Description

Archive of Spatial Knowledge is a collection of spatial and social memories contributed by individuals who were forcefully displaced, or are denied representation in places of their current residence. On the archive, voices that are pushed out of the physical spaces are hosted on a digital platform and attached to the locations of their origin, creating a protected pool of knowledge overlaid on the physical landscape.
Space Reader is the mobile tool for the archive. It allows the archive’s contributors to attach their stories to geographic locations. Using the same tool, viewers can access the entries on location, or remotely, to juxtapose the invisible stories and the reality of physical spaces.
Archive of Spatial Knowledge is a project by designer and artistic researcher Irakli Sabekia. More information about the archive can be found on www.archive-of-spatial-knowledge.com
