The program has no coordination with Microsoft software. Every MS update SpamDrain is denied access to network servers. This requires timely re-establishing login credentials for each email address. This has been an issue for years and yet they do NOTHING to fix the problems. Also: MS Defender alerts as “unsafe” at every login but I override the alert anyway. I would NOT RECOMMEND this filter program unless you have a lot of free time to waste & an extremely strong I.T. Backgrounds .

Tired of dealing with tons of spam emails? Get this app! I’ve been stressed out for months dealing with junk mail, reporting it, filtering it, but this takes care of the whole process!

I have been using this for many years and after my yearly renewal the app stopped working. When I tried to get customer support they just said: “We don’t support Gmail on xxx iOS which isn’t that old. “ then blew me off. I am looking for a different program and won’t renew

I am very disappointed in this ap. My email is being bombed by lewd and illicit emails. I wanted an ap that would block these totally. All Spamdrain does is sequester into its own file. I still have to go through all of them to make sure something isn’t blocked that I want. My email spam blocker was doing as good a job, and I didn’t have to buy it. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Their software works exactly as I need it to.

i jumped back on to Spamdrain after a few years off due to a change in computers. i am so glad i returned to it. i check through every day to see how much junk it catches (hundreds a day!) and to "release" any messages i actually want to keep. i can easily delete the potentially spammy messages after my reviewing them, then i go to the accepted messages for a quick review and deletion. this is a quick and successful process and for the very reasonable price of the subscription, i am one happy customer. my only "complaint" is that they got rid of the cute hampster they used to have on their site!

Gave it 4 stars because it does catch/block a lot of email that I want…especially login emails- where they send me a numeric code as a one-time login or lists I did sign up for. Overall though I think that Spamdrain is an excellent spend of money. I often was at the point in which I felt I needed to start a new email address, this fixed that well. I avoid a TON of spam…right now I’m looking at what was caught, something called autobidmaster that I have no idea what it is, 717 supply because I bought something from him once or whatever, Piscifun, I probably bought something there. Food Network sweepstakes, I signed up for a sweepstakes a year or more ago and MyPillow…LOVE his products however they really do send a LOT of ads to my inbox. If I read every email I get I’d literally never sleep and still not be caught up. This app has given me control. I do believe that one does not necesarily pay for this or any similar app if they use the major email services; I suspect I can change some settings and train my email to catch and file as junk stuff I don’t want to see but SpamDrain is much much easier and less time consuming. I do find myself scanning the blocked stuff regularly and I regularly find stuff I want but the ratio is probably 20 or 30:1, maybe less and the stuff it blocks is rarely critical to my life; it’s just stuff I am interested in and signed up for a reason. I just have to remember to whitelist that stuff and it lets it through. I’d recommend this if you don’t mind the fee and don’t want to spend the time configuring your gmail or Microsoft account or whatever you have and I don’t have a reason for looking for another app/service. Nice app, not sure it can be done better.

App works as advertised however I was not getting too many spam emails that had to be blocked anymore so I decided not to continue paying the yearly membership fee and delete the app. Now I’m being signed up to random spam emails on a daily basis. Coincidental? I doubt it. Sleazy way to do business. Take your business elsewhere

I have been using the app since April ‘24 after having an email account be severely compromised a year ago. My computer would not support the desktop version so I’m using the app only. For the most part, I’m happy with it, they have missed maybe 4 messages that made it thru the filter and ended up in my inbox. I’ve received answers via email every time I’ve had questions, usually w/in 24 hours. Only criticism is that I’m probably getting more, not less spam since starting with this filter, and it’s the same spam repeatedly. I realize it’s not the function to eliminate it but rather to filter it - but wish it had an impact on eliminating it. I’m checking the app maybe 10x / day to go thru & confirm the ones they have blocked. Only other suggestion I’d make is to have a way to mark them all at once rather than clicking thru each manually. In general tho, I’d recommend it & hope it will be improved w/ newer iterations.
