Spark Golf

Fun Social Golf Leagues

Published by: Epic Golf

Description

At Spark, our mission is to bring people together to play golf.
Spark began with a group of Orlando locals who wanted a regular night where they could have fun with friends, meet new ones and play golf. It was informal but authentic. As the word spread, more people joined the fun and Spark Golf was formed.
Spark is now a nationwide network of 9-hole, recreational golf leagues where people play fun golf, connect with others and experience friendly competition. We bring people together to play golf. Our intention is to make Spark Golf more fun, social and organized than your everyday round of golf.
So, find a league to join near you and start playing more golf!

Spark Golf Reviews

GPS add?

shanka potomous on

Just a suggestion to add GPS to the app would eliminate the need for multiple golf apps open while playing spark golf

Tried it and regret it

Not worth the trouble and money. Takes over 3 hours for just nine holes but that’s still faster than their customer support. App is a joke don’t bother with it, you’ll just be disappointed

Good intentions, poor scaling/execution? Maybe not for me?

Where to start with Spark Golf…I had originally thought this was a great idea. Here’s a fun, casual league, that adds a bit of competition. I learned over time that this was NOT the case. If you’re looking for even a semblance of competition, don’t even bother. Scoring is insanely imbalanced, and borderline pointless with awarded strokes and abuse of that system. I’ve played with far too many teams who tell the paired teammate to take a dive on the hole and post a max score if they’re about to make a net birdie/eagle so they can keep the extra strokes. Not to mention the dude with a 5’6” putter who gave himself every putt within 6ft. Pace of play is the real killer here though. I’ve spent upwards of 30-35 minutes waiting to tee off on a SINGLE hole behind 15+ junior golfers playing the hole for practice with instruction in 4-hole stretches in front of Spark. Courses will always squeeze what they can for the extra $$, and Spark has no way of regulating course behavior. A year ago support was prompt, friendly, and flexible, while today, even a simple request is pushed off, while they copy and paste their rules to you via email. Having played dozens of Spark rounds, I’m finally bowing out, deactivating the account permanently and moving on to ANY course that doesn’t facilitate them. Spark has single handedly ruined any chance golfers have at getting a twilight round in at the local course. AND you have to pay more to do it, which is literally the ONLY reason I joined Spark in the first place, as I kept getting denied tee times because of it. If I wanted a reasonably priced/competitive/ decently paced game of golf after work. This is the LAST place I’d go for it. The idea is okay…the execution, organization, and overall support….not so much. Golf has grown a lot, and this is a reminder that being “too hands off” and 100% remote can not only be damaging to your brand but also the facilities you decide to host at.

We had about 50 questions and half of which I can’t even remember. The whole Spark thing was inviting yet confusing and we just couldn’t seem to find answers to our questions….. then from the corner of a friends memory he sent me a name and number and said “ this lady is an angel “ . Ms Emma Kroll answered all the questions and calmed the waters for us . She is DA’BESS !

We played this evening with another couple. I want to know other couples that like to play golf like us. The couple that I played with were nice & friendly. Fairchild Wheeler golf course has a nice restaurant as well. Spark Golf administration accommodated us with the tee time. I am happy with this league. Great to be able to play with my husband in the league.
