Spartan Forge

This app is absolute trash. Property owners are incorrect all over the place. God knows when the last time it was updated. It’s still showing my tractor in a spot where it hasn’t been in more than two years. Absolute waste of money. Y’all need to do a lot of work to get this app anywhere close to the competitors. I never write reviews like this but this had to be said. It also told me 14 day free trial but charged me anyway without giving the trial period.

I have been using Spartan forge for this deer season and the movement predictions are spot on. And the wind direction is most of the time right. Also the maps are great with great features to go along with that’s. I would recommend Spartan forge over any other mapping app any day!!!

Why is it that it logs me out at least once a week ? ?

App now requires you to allow random websites to extract and share your information. I’ll be going back to OnX which is a better app anyway. Spartan forge layers are good but the organization of the app is less than decent and they aren’t going to improve on that.

I recently switched from On-X about a year and a half ago, and I will never switch back. Spartan’s imagery and historical imagery is top-tier, in comparison to On-X that looks like Google Maps in 2016. Since my switch, I’ve killed many more deers than i have with X, these guys know what they’re doing!

This has the potential to be the top app on the market but it’s just not there yet. I tried it for the LiDar and that is the only good aspect of this app. Outside of that it’s not an intuitive experience. There is an over abundance of waypoint markers but only a few colors. It does not compare to onX or HuntStand when it comes to marking boundaries or areas. It really does not sync as efficiently as the other top apps. When trying to view public access lands it grabs some and access is not available on my computer but is on the phone. If you spent half of the effort needed to just get the user experience as clean as onX I’d be inclined to move to this one…you just are not there yet. I’ll be canceling before my free trial ends.

I decided to give the app a try after using a competing app for years, so glad I made the switch. The uav and lidar feature really gives you a great feeling of what type of terrain you can expect. They are also very responsive to customer feedback, reached out and had a response in no time at all! Keep up the great work, I look forward to using this to aid in taking some fantastic whitetail in the future.

it combines map weather and hunting zones. stuff i can get for free. and the maps are at least 4 years old. bought my house in 2019 and it’s not there. the lidar is ok but not helpful.

Spartan forge has been a great tool for preparing for deer season scouting. With the improved mapping and topographical images along with lidar it really helps finding areas you want to scout. I primarily hunt one state but it gives you better options for multiple states than some other apps.
