Speak4Me: Text to Speech Aloud

Do not pay for this app. The speech ain’t great but you know, I didn’t expect it to be perfect being the price difference is drastic compared to other text to speech apps. However when it loses it’s place in the document so you constantly have to position the reader every time and even when it’s connected to reliable WiFi it just randomly stops and starts buffering for what seems like an infinite amount of time, it’s not for me. Literally only still using it being as I’ve paid for the year. Will not renew, no thank you.

Can not be used in real time. It is very slow and clunky when trying to use it to speak for you. Can take over 20 seconds to process a short statement… if it doesn’t crash!

It is not good At scanning and it can’t scan some of the simplest sentences. Please go find another app.

I'm using this to help me study a textbook that I have an exam on for work, however when I need to move/skip to another chapter it just continuously loads and doesn't actually play/read the text. Such a shame seeing as I am paying for it aswell.

For what ever reason everyone I type, copy to have anything it won’t load. It will continue to load no matter how long you wait. ALSO the AI is TRASH it’s really really bad. And the ai reading is kinda meh it’s gets words wrong a lot of the time and it’s pronounces words wrong a lot of the time and I was using the free trial pro mode. OVERALL bad.

I’ve tried a bunch of apps, and none of them are at this level. Well done for this project.

Don’t bother downloading this app. I have an M1 iPad Pro so it should be working with no issues, but it never worked well unfortunately: 1-It refused to read the PDF because it was not in text format. I downloaded the one with text format and it refused to read it because it’s too long, I cropped it and made it shorted. It started reading a few paragraphs and then stopped all of a sudden. I tried restarting the app and it won’t read my pdf anymore. -It doesn’t sound like real humans like other TTS software, and it doesn’t even work properly. -The pronunciation is not accurate. There are no accents like other TTS software. The voice “Peter” for example is from UK , but it has an American accent! -The voice cloning only works with English and mispronounced a lot of words and sometimes skipped them, and takes a long time to load. -It never reads the full text for you and always crashes. -I tried downloading the audio so I can listen to it without interruptions and it got stuck on “preparing download” , and when I try to click on cancel, the app crashes. This issue continued even when I relaunched the app, if I clicked on “share” it would directly go to “preparing download” again and stays there forever. -I contacted support and they didn’t reply. They don’t care about the users who have paid for an annual subscription. I feel scammed. Completely useless app. Filled with bugs. Low quality.
