A nifty app for reading long documents, without any subscriptions
I love hearing my chapters read back to me. It helps with objectivity.
Sounds a bit robotic but does a terrific job of reading the text pronouncing almost every word clearly and correctly. Great for someone who is reading challenged.
i ike it
This free app definitely works; however, I couldn't figure out how to switch the voices, pitch and rate easily. Sometimes the switch worked and sometimes it didn't. Other apps have a free option that does the same thing but that I found to be much more user friendly.
Using the Mac OS system tool for converting text to speech, Speakline adds easy interface and reliable functionality. It is only limited by the weaknesses of Apple's system functionality: it will fail when converting longer docs for example. Once you've picked a good (enhanced or premium) voice in system settings, it's easy to hear any text in that voice, and to export it as a caf (core audio file) and listen to it on any mac device.
Is this possible in Spanish?
