This Bible app is simple, simple, simple to use. I kept simplifying the design of this app until my talented, but computer-challenged, wife could use it without guidance. She is the one to thank for how easy Spectrum Bible™ is to use and my time as AOL Chief Architect taught me to listen to her.
A quick swipe left or right shows you the same passage in another translation. The left-most column shows the whole passage in the original Greek or Hebrew. You can quickly tell you how literal a version is by its color: sky blues and purples are word-for-word translations, transitional greens are for the phrase-for-phrase translations, and earth tones are for the thought-for-thought translations.
The study helps that come with Spectrum Bible™ include a book and study guides that spring out of our Dallas Theological Seminary training that and take you through a simple four step approach to reading the Bible and address how to stay motivated while you do it.
The Greek New Testament and the Hebrew Old Testament is included and is presented so simply that you can touch a word and get its meaning and parsing without knowing anything about Greek or Hebrew. The Original Language Nuggets Tool is also included so that, with in-app additions from the store, you can easily track any word back to the Greek or Hebrew word it translates. Even if you can not pronounce it, in seconds Spectrum Bible™ enables you to find all the places the word is used and narrow down your understanding of its meaning.
The Internet is NOT required to use this Bible. That's because each Bible is stored on your Phone or Pad. That is also why the app is so fast. If you are wondering about how much space it takes up on your Phone or Pad, if you upgrade to the Fully Loaded bulk purchase option and download everything to your device, that takes up less space than one 15 second video.

Powerful Bible study app
I have been using this app since about 2017 when it was called “wave”. The developer continues to add features without sacrificing ease of use. Spectrum Bible is a powerful, easy to use, reasonably priced, beautiful looking masterpiece! There is no other Bible app with this much functionality. Well done!!!
Five Star Plus
I really appreciate the spectrum app. I first downloaded it as the wave. At the time it was mainly for the original languages, then it was just the Greek. When the Hebrew was added I found it even more useful. This is one of my go to sources when studying scripture for lessons and sermons. The developers are really top tier. Very helpful and I believe committed to providing a resource that even beginners can use. I would rate them another five stars for their help in learning how to use the spectrum to it greatest potential for me.
Excellent Bible app
I have been us I’ve been using this Bible app for approximately five years at least…. It is super easy to use and I love the feature that allowed me to share verses with others through text, email or social media. The various versions and ability to switch between different versions instantly is awesome. I highly recommend this app!
I Love This App!
It’s my go to. From comparing verses for understanding in just a quick swipe, to daily reading it’s the best.
Can no longer use this app
I don't know what has happened with this app. I have enjoyed using it then suddenly I'm logged out and can't get back in. I forgot my password and there is no way to reset it. The website is also useless. This is so disappointing especially after all the purchases I made.
Great Translations 📚
I’ve been using the Wave/Spectrum bible for probably close to 10 years. It’s the Bible App I use the most. It has so many bible translation options to choose from. I always refer this app to beginning bible readers.
God breathed
I just downloaded this app. I love that I can take a certain scripture and look back at the Greek and then from that get what God wants me to see in it.
FORCE CLOSING
I have been using this app for a couple of years now it has been very useful. I recently upgraded and up dated my phone to the latest version of iOS 15 since then the app force closes whenever I try to open “verse goodies” on the app is it possible their will be an update or bug fix for this issue I and I’m sure others if they are having this issue would greatly appreciate if this problem can be fixed.
Use It Daily
I enjoy using this app daily. I like the side by side of more than one version and I even purchased another version that was not for free. You can take notes and I’m sure I’m not even utilizing all it has to offer. There were a few glitches: when a version was no longer free, there would be a blank space where it once was and I couldn’t simply close the gap and the version I purchased wouldn’t show up at all. Once I emailed them they responded quickly (had to uninstall, then install again) and it worked. I use this on my IPad.
