Extremely helpful for planning the week’s meals. Never a stale recipe.
This app would be near perfect if only they added an option to sort by tags in addition to collections. This is especially important to me since I cook seasonally. Instead of having to add one recipe to multiple relevant collections, I would love to be able to filter recipes from one collection by “fall - pasta - one pot” or something like that. Also, I think it’s necessary to be able to manually input some recipes added from links online for sites whose format is difficult to parse. It has been impossible for me to import recipes from some sites. Other than that I love the app!
They have thought of everything you could ever want out of a recipe, meal plan, shopping list app. When I had an issue I reached out and it was fixed immediately. Cannot recommend enough!
It’s free!!! My family switched from hello fresh back to grocery shopping and this has helped make it just as easy to pick and prepare for meals. We can both look through/add to our collections and then add to the meal plan. Recipes can be copy and pasted from just about any website, even TikTok. Ingredients can all be added right from the recipe to your grocery list.
I cannot say enough about this app! My DIL and I have been looking for a way to share recipes that does not require a subscription or a fee. Here it is! You can save recipes from the internet and no longer have to login to multiple sites to save recipes on sites where you find them (and then often forget about them). You can sort your recipes into categories. When I tried saving a family recipe from a recipe card I thought maybe others would see the picture of the card, but I was blown away! The AI sorted out an ingredient list and instructions regardless of the format on the recipe card and the handwriting! It is not 100% perfect, and says so. Double check all ingredients, measurements, and instructions and make edits as needed, but it is amazingly accurate. I do not have to type up all my family recipes to share them. I just snap pictures. I also love the grocery list feature. I can open the ingredients for any recipe, uncheck the boxes next to the ones I have, and click one button to add the rest to my grocery list. I just discovered this morning that I can organize my list by recipe, which is huge!!! I do that on my hand-written grocery lists, so if I decide not to make something after I make my list or get to the store I can skip those ingredients. This is the app we have been looking for and I highly recommend it. I have been sharing it with family and friends. Anyone who likes to cook, bake, collect, or share recipes will not be disappointed. I did contact them to ask about an iPad version in order to have a larger screen when cooking and they replied promptly and said they are working on one. Also, the screen does not go to sleep while a recipe is open. I am eager for the iPad version! Thank you!
I am OBSESSED with this app now. Seriously didn't realize what a mess it was trying to re-find recipes I screenshotted. Love the grocery list feature too ♥️Plz never go away
I want to introduce this app to my mother in law but the language is only in English. If it expands to other languages such as Spanish or French that’d be very helpful
This app is amazing!! I never usually think to review apps, but I had to for this one. Previously, I had all my recipes saved in my browser, but it was so hard to navigate through those bookmarks. With this app, I can organize all my recipes so well, and easily sort through them because of the large photos of each recipe. Also, it makes it so easy to save my ratings, reviews, and comments on every recipe I’ve made. I love this app so much!
I use this app daily to look up recipes and plan my meals for the week! The functionality is great overall and I love love love the Meal Plans feature, especially having the option to add a note for eating out or leftovers. There are just a few improvements that could make the app even better! 1. I share cooking responsibilities with my husband, so I might cook a few days out of the week and he cooks the other days. It would be fantastic if we could both access shared meal plans, so we could both add recipes, figure out what groceries we need, look at the recipe to cook, etc. Right now I make the meal plan, buy the groceries, and send him the link to the recipe. 2. I love the ingredients / shopping list feature. One improvement would be to add an option to filter the list by section / aisle in the grocery store (e.g., produce, meat, dairy, canned goods, etc.). I know other recipe apps I’ve used like Yummly offer this feature. 3. Lastly, it’d be great if you could collaborate with justtherecipe.com or build out a similar feature to remove all the annoying ads, blog preamble, etc. on recipe blog sites. It’s such a terrible user experience, trying to close out of the pop-up ads, and it would be a huge improvement just to get a simple page that lists the ingredients and recipe instructions.
