Suck at waking up? Are you the type of person to set multiple alarms minutes apart just to make sure you wake up on time? If so, say hello to your new alarm clock.
SpinMe Alarm Clock is a super clever app designed to get you out of bed on time.
The only way to turn off the alarm is by getting out of bed and physically spinning yourself around until the alarm stops! There is no escape!
Think you can cheat and simply spin the device while still in bed? Try and see for yourself! If SpinMe doesn't wake you up, then we don't know what will.
Just check out what heavy sleepers like you are saying:

I’ve been using this app for a few years now and I have had a good experience with it. The only problem I’ve seen has left a bad taste in my mouth. Very rarely, only twice in around 2-3 years, the app doesn’t sense that I’m spinning. I’m currently dealing with this and it’s infuriating. I’ve deleted and redownloaded it 4 times today and the alarm starts blaring every time I open it and it still doesn’t recognize my spinning. I wish there was a bypass of some kind, but I understand that would make the app less effective. Maybe something along the lines of holding the button for 30 seconds or even a whole minute to deter “cheating.” Otherwise it’s a great app, but I’ll be looking for a backup/replacement
lfg!
Love it, lfg!
Might be Cool if it Worked…
I was recommended by a friend to use this app, but upon downloading and opening it you can’t get past the intro screen. I’ve spent the last 30 minutes restarting the app and spinning endlessly with my phone while it vibrates incessantly. I understand having it be slightly difficult to accomplish goal of getting up, but this is impossible. L
Only thing that gets me up
This is what I use when I absolutely NEED to wake up and acknowledge the time.
Doesn’t work
Waste of money
Why cant you adjust the volume of the alarm?
There is no way to make an alarm the appropriate volume to wake someone up and annoy them enough to get up and spin. This could’ve been so great. Every time it goes off it does so really quietly. And even if you turn it up and try it again, it automatically goes back to its same old low volume. Very frustrating.
it’s about time a made a review
i’ve been using this app every morning of my life since 6th grade. it gets me up without fail everyday, and the only way to turn off the alarm is to delete the app. i’ve deleted it a few times in the mornings but for 7 years this app has been more than enough to get me up in the morning.
so, after using it for so long i thought it finally deserved a review, and a proper thank you to the people who made it.
Stopped working
This app worked perfectly for over a week and was so good at waking me up but for the past day or so it’s been glitching and refusing to turn off no matter what I do I’ve had to delete and reinstall it several times but the second it’s reinstalled it goes off again and refuses to turn off. I was a big fan but I have to delete it until this is fixed
Great Concept, But Difficult To Use
This app has a great concept to help you wake up. However, I like to sleep with silent mode on, so my alarm never goes off. I followed the directions of keeping the app up, but it would still only vibrate. Also, I tried to add my own music to the sounds, but it would never play. Overall, the execution needs to be better.
PROBLEM
UPDATE: For two days in a row, it’s gone off a couple of hours later than the time that was set! This is problematic for two reasons:
1. It didn’t do its job to wake me up.
2. It’s rather embarrassing to have to spin around twice in front of other people at the random time when it goes off. For example, as a college professor in front of a lecture hall full of students! 🤦🏻♀️
I double checked to ascertain that I had not simply set the wrong time. Twice, it has gone off at completely random times, hours after the time that was set.
If you touch the “support” link, it takes you to a one page site with options for downloading the app—no support. Thus, you’re getting a one star review until both problems are fixed.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've tried EVERYTHING to get myself up on time: alarms that shake the bed or turn on lights, horrible sounds across the room, obstacles between me and the alarm, etc. But I would just lay back down in a sleep-deprived stupor.
This works better than any of the other things I've tried. You have to stand up, put your thumbs on designated spots on your screen, and spin around two times. That seems to rouse me to consciousness better.
However, it's not foolproof. There's nothing to stop you from laying back down, but I seem to be more capable of making a conscious decision after spinning around, which awakens me a little more than just turning an alarm off. There have also been many mornings when I just let that stupid banjo misic play for over an hour. Sometimes I turn the volume all the way down without spinning and go back to sleep, but it does still nag me by the phone vibrating every minute or so as the app tries to go off....if I hear that, but pillows muffle the vibrating sound.
A few days ago, I deleted the app instead of getting up. But it got back at me today when I re-installed it: it made me spin three times, as it went off once for each of the three days that it had been uninstalled!
You can choose your own music to play during the spinning part. I use that to remind me what I'm getting up for: my university's fight song for days I teach morning classes there, a hymn on church days, etc.
TO THE DEVELOPER: It would be nice to be able to choose the music for the alarm part, not just during the spinning, and to have the option of having a horrible sounding alarm that's harder to sleep through than the current music. I'd pay an extra dollar for that.
