The Ultimate Urban Drum Rompler

If you've always wanted to make the phattest urban beats with incredible hard-hitting drum sounds, but never spent the years being a beat chopper or crate digger, then this library is for you. It takes years to properly learn how to chop samples, rip breakbeats, create the right "swing", and run it all through the expensive hardware to get those perfect drums. This library does all of this for you. And for the experienced producer, you have access to advanced features like importing your own drums with MIDI and running them through our synthesis and incredible effects. Route pads to separate audio outs, use your own plugin FX inside the app, and get full access to synthesizer type programming to make for the ultimate urban drum rompler!

Highlights:
- 10,000 Combined Drum Sounds
- 750 Beat Chops & Kits with MIDI
- Load/Save your Own Samples
- Host your own Plugin Effects
- Insert FX, Global & Master Buss
- Full Synthesis for Pads 1-12
- Route Pads to Individual Outs
- Dedicated "Slug" Knob
- Swing Groove Templates

Factory Preset Style
The factory presets come with Kits, Full Loops, and Chops from the Loops all in the style of Boom-Bap, Lo-Fi, Hip-Hop Soul, Vinyl and Chill-Hop. Similar to these artists: The Roots, J Dilla, Pete Rock, Q-Tip, and the Wu-Tang, etc..

Use Chops for Drums
Any beat maker knows that loop chops represent the phatest sound. So along with the chops on each pad, you can tweak the chopped drums in order to create your own kits from the chops.

Sampled from Hardware
No drum sounds will ever sound good if they are not sampled from the correct hardware. We use all of the industry standard and our own secret gems in order to produce the hardest hitting drums.

Secret Weapon Features:
- Alias Name and Tagging for Drum Sounds
- Route Drum Sounds to Separate Outputs
- Load Your Own Plugins into FX Slots
- Ability to Export MIDI Patterns
- Save Presets with MIDI Data Embeded
- Dedicated Knob to Lay Behind the Beat
- Use Chops as Drum Sounds
- 5-Insert FX Per Pad 1-12

Route Audio Outputs to any Channel
Our app gives you the ability to route any drum pad sound to any output on your multi-channel audio device. This is paramount for mixing drums and separating them out for more flexibility when editing and mastering.

Stacking and Layering
With 36-pads, you can even stack and layer different drum sounds, which is a very popular producer trick. Simply assign the same MIDI Note to multiple sounds and stack as many drums as you want with one hit. This is how producers get those "out of this world" phat drum sounds.

Amazing Effects
In partnership with Overloud™, we have the full version of the famous Vintage Keyboard FX Suite of effects readily available. We also have licensed a ton of other high quality effects, all with very lush, warm, and vintage sounds.

Each pad 1-12 can have up to 5 insert effects per pad, along with global and master busses. Every knob/fader can be MIDI learned, so you can adjust effects in real-time with a controller. Run the entire beat through a crazy reverb or phaser to instantly change the entire "feel" of the beat or drum sound. Our FX arsenal is so vast that you will spend months just exploring all of the possibilities.

Garbage

PEPGOONER on

I messaged the developer as I wanted to be sure this was good to go in GarageBand on iPad. The answer was ‘yes’. It should have been ‘no’. It is unusable, unstable, bug-riddled and basically useless. My specific reason for buying this app was to use it on a particular GarageBand project. I thought it would be worth the £20 for this reason alone. I may just as well have thrown my money up the road. Forget it. An absolute waste of money, as is the case with this developers other apps. Avoid, unless you enjoy donating money to grifters like these.

Not working

Ripper da Slumking on

Was working properly before the update. It now only works in standalone.

Useful, hugely varied, but flawed

Splat-to-Clat, whatever that means, offers and enormous variety of sounds, which can be shaped extensively for those who wish to dabble. Alternately, they can simply be played via midi out from some - NOT all - midi controller apps such as Rosetta XOX. The other irritating problem is that switching to a different preset only becomes live if the app is stopped and started again. Despite a recent update saying that preview was enabled, there is still no changing the beat on the fly.

Excellent - Used it for about 15 mins - probably an hour tbh!

Time flew, my tea got cold. I wasn’t going to get this, but it’s the big BF sale, and after perusing GM’s website about Midiculous, I took an interest in this beatbox type app. In a nutshell, there’s lots of variation in the soundsets, you can import your own, and you can ‘drill down’ into fine-tuning sound, amp, velocity curve and other aspects of EACH INDIVIDUAL sound as triggered by the specific button/pad you have rested your finger over the ‘spanner’ icon of, and then chosen ‘control’ on the little micro-menu that dialogues up. One suggestion, if the GM people see this, is about that dialogue that pops up centrally to give all those ‘drill-down’ options for adjusting tone etc of the triggered sound sample…along the very top of that dialogue box, it initially says ‘SOUND’ then you go across and see ‘SC Snap etc’ or whatever the codename of the particular sound sample for that button/pad is…I was carefully looking for a small space you could put the piano keyboard note name in, so that while adjusting you don’t have to keep remembering that the snap in the Bossa Nova is F3# or something? It could be to the right of that top line, in it’s own little box just after the sound sample’s codename. There’s room to do it in every screen on that dialogue box that appears. I say this, because what I actually did was, try to push the dialogue box to the right or left to see what the button said on it, what piano note actuated the sound? If that can’t be done - and even on my 12.9” iPad Pro M1 there ain’t the space really - this little space being used for that, would be really good. My old grey cells are trundling around, slower these days, in their little nano-wheelchairs, making their minuscule connections…it’s all pretty low-voltage up there and I don’t want to go rummaging in the dark too much to find the note-name from 5 seconds ago…! The user has to hit the ‘X’ and knock the dialogue off, to get a look, then remember again, phhhffft, meh, red-traffic-lights is all. doesn’t change my amateurish 5-stars at all. I am the last person to know about sampling, I just know it’s one of those things, you think it’s easy until you try doing it for the whole keyboard, multiple variations etc. Then the gremlins rise up! I think this is an extraordinarily good shot at this though, in my own humble opinion, not being an expert. Take care all.
