How much does Sporcle cost?
Sporcle costs 2.99 to download (and they also have additional in-app purchases).
I absolutely love Sporcle and I always have, but this app is awful. The interface is unbelievably bad, it doesn’t even automatically fit the size of my phone screen. I will buy a laptop and use the desktop website before using this app. I cannot believe they would charge money for such a poor app, and then have the audacity to show ads while I’m just barely fighting to make it through the interface. So incredibly disappointing for a website and brand name I’ve held so dearly for so long.
Needs more quiz types
I
Pointless
Don’t waste 3 bucks on it. There are no images and therefore most of the quizzes are literally impossible
Disappointing
Downloaded this app after watching YouTube videos of people playing online. Was extremely disappointed to see such a limited amount of quizzes. I assumed this was a newer app until I saw the other reviews from 5 plus years ago. It’s most likely that the app didn’t pick up enough for them to invest more money into it. The fact that it costs money as well I was expecting a finished product.
Lackluster and lack of content
This app is pretty disappointing. it has only a fraction of the quizzes that are on the website for free. It’s really lacking the interesting ones, such as the Maps or the graphics. nothing useful, but a whole lot of “list all the words that don’t have an N.” It costs 299, and for that money you get less than the website will give you for free. However, the website is so laden with ads and cookies and demands to download the app that it becomes useless on mobile. so, yeah, Sporcle is crappy
Do not pay for this app
The app does not work as it should. There are way too many bugs. The quizzes do not progress as it should. I have had quizzes where the next button does not work. I have been asked to name three things and after naming it does not progress or give you the option to. The app does not work. Needs more work. Do not pay for this app.
Trash
You became trash!
Unlike the website the app actually works
Love the app since the website is so poorly run I was excited to get the app and it runs so smooth. Why they can’t make a good website is beyond me.
Dark mode
I feel Sporcle could use a dark mode, and why aren’t there quizzes with pictures ? It’s not a bad app just needs a few tweaks.
Wow…
Thanks for making me wasted 3 dollars and a whole half hour of my life trying to play the sporcle app! Either fix the app of take it off the App Store, you scammers.
