Sportsbox 3D Golf Reviews

Incredible technology

lsbker on

Portugal

I have been using the Sportsbox app for almost a year now and it has become an integral way to video and study the swing from both face on and down the line views. The built in drawing tools are very useful but what sets it above and apart is the data that is collected whist analysing the swing video. Being able to break down individual parts of the swing via data, compare to Tour pro averages and then keep a collection of swing video and data through time makes it much simpler to track swing changes as they occur and compare video and data analysis in real time on the range. In the time I have used Sportsbox more data points have been added and the product is always evolving to the users benefit. The technology involved is way beyond my understanding but it works brilliantly. Simple to use but hugely impressive, a must for anyone wishing to understand the data within their swing with the option to work alongside a coach in order to identify and track areas of improvement.

Decent value for the price

To start, iv been using this app for a little on over a month and have improved a few aspects like properly using my hips and maintaining posture throughout the transition. Both of which have increased the frequency in which I hit solid shots. With that being said the app itself feels clunky and the ai is pretty slow if you don’t have perfect WiFi. After taking the swing assessment the app pinpoints a few things that should be improved to help with your swing. It offers tons of data which can be a little overwhelming. My main issues is that the by offering so much data it makes it a bit confusing if your trying to fix multiple aspects of your swing. An example would be trying to reduce/increase pelvic sway at top or pelvic sway at impact. Once you get that number in range you move to the next topic suggested. Example: chest turn at transition. Which once you get that in range now your other measurements are even more out of range. Since the app provides actual angles and numbers it feels pretty accurate but some of the tips have actually made my ball striking feel worse. I would say the app itself is worth at least a 1 month sub to see if it helps resolve your issues.

Five Star information. I’m working with Helen Kurtin (Gateway Section PGA) on overcoming my “under cut” swing and this is a great visual.

Paid subscription. Regret

While using the free version, I imported a DTL video. The swing was analyzed and I was given suggestions on what to fix in my swing. I upgraded to a paid plan and now every time I upload, they still create a 3D model, but offer zero suggestions on what to fix. I go to the goals section where “diagnose your swing flaws” is located and every import fails to analyze. I even uploaded the first import I successfully used in the app… nope, still errors. Useless for me until this is resolved.

Sportsbox helps the student turn the numbers they see into feels. In turn it helps the student learn to feel what its like to be in the proper positions and to sync these up for better results. Great tool.

Awesome Tool to Measure Improvement

rvccpro on

I recently retired after 37 years as a Head Golf Professional and decided to use this software to improve my swing and help my stable of students. I love this software because I can measure the improvement of my students and this greatly helps them understand what they feel may not be real. I can show them exactly what needs improvement and can quantify the gains! For me personally, I’ve recorded my swing when I was swinging well as use that as a model to reference when my swing gets off. Additionally, SPORTSBOX continues to add new cutting edge features!

Great For Students and Coaches

jsgolfcoach on

My students are always asking how do they know if they’re practicing the right things. Before we could only use video but now their practice can be measured. The app is a great solution for analyzing, practice and overall student communication. With the continuing updates it can only get better!
