Spot Meter Pro Reviews

Needs an update badly

I’m new to this app and honestly impressed, but it’s insane that there is no way to lock settings - I just want to be able to lock my ISO, aperture and Zone and then measure without any of those changing. That’s an easy update, and would make this the best spot meter app on the market. I’m always metering the shadows for zone 3 at ISO 100! Make it easy for me, guys!

Excellent potential but switches modes for no reason.

I was hoping to use this spot meter for determining the zones using the zone system. Every time I try to dial in the zone I want to set the reading to it switches from zones to ev compensation. There seems to be no way to keep from switching from one mode to the other. Too bad. It really has the potential to be a great tool.

Neat app but needs a bit of help.

It’s a neat app and pretty accurate. Only quibble would be the ability to keep a single f/stop displayed when switching between Zones. For example, if I meter a Zone III the f/stop is f0.7. I scroll to f16 or whatever and then go to meter a Zone VII and the f/stop reverts back to f0.7. This would be great if you could pick a default f/stop that the app is set to when I open it. Thanks.

The best spot meter app

Only one gripe: there is this prompt on the screen with flashing text about swiping to switch modes. I can’t find a way to disable this. Otherwise, this app is superb. If you’re traveling and need to leave your hand held meter at home to save space, this app is perfect. Clean interface, accurate and easily defined spot area. The people who developed this app know what they’re doing.

Needed a light meter app to meter using the zone system and this makes spot metering and calculations so much easier because it has built in support for it.
